    Not sure how I feel about this I don't know any Steelers fan that likes him

    Then again its not Cam Cameron either so that's a plus.

    He was Manning's 1st QB coach though.

    Interesting choice. I think he was Peyton's QB coach when he first came into the league right?

    I don't think it is a bad hire. The Colts certainly could have done much worse IMO.

    I'm kinda surprised the Colts hired him so quick. I guess Pagano already knows exactly who he wants.

    I believe he was the QB coach during Peytons rookie year.

    So much for his supposed retirement. He was probably forced out at Pittsburgh because they passed the ball too much which is ridiculous given that the Steelers biggest strength is their QB and WRs. This is a great hire for the Colts. I think the staff that has been assembled is a big upgrade over Caldwells staff.

    No, I meant that he was criticized unfairly in Pittsburgh because of his pass heavy offense given their traditional ground and pound roots. I was saying that Arians simply was playing to Pittsburgh's strength and that is their passing game. Mendenhall is a good tailback but their run blocking was horrific last year.

    I will just add this here.

    Tomlin meets with Caldwell. Caldwell as OC would be....interesting.

    Yes he was Peyton's QB coach his rookie year. OC for the Steelers 2007-2011 and it's rumored he was forced out, which led to an early retirement.

    I like the hire, we'll see how it works out

    He might make a better OC than coach at least. Then again he was a QB's coach here but Manning was the QB I can't imagine what coaching was involved.

    Wasn't rumored he confirmed he was fired on a radio show I believe the new morning WNDE show(Zac and Jakk finally got caned)

    Big Ben is the only reason he wasn't fired the last few years. Big Ben really liked him.

    I'm glad you said this because without input from a Steelers fan (I have that right, don't I?) I was going to say that while I respect the franchise he's coming from, it's usually their DEFENSE that I think about the most.

    Seems to make since with Andrew Luck coming in, too.

    Lovie Smith is said to be trying to hire Clyde Christensen. Colts want to keep him from what I have read.

    @vxmcclure23
    Lovie Smith wanted Christensen for his qb coach/passing game coordinator from the moment the position was created. We'll see what unfolds

    @vxmcclure23
    vaughn mcclure Clyde Christensen wanted to stay in Indy as the OC. With Colts set to hire Bruce Arians, Christensen should be headed to Bears.

    Lovie is offering basically co offensive coordinator I think he will take it. It is a better job.

    I like Clyde I am on board with the hire if it happens he is better than Martz(at this point in his career).

    Colts have decided not to retain CC according to Colts board. Another sign that Manning is gone?

    Clyde Christensen, the Colts’ offensive coordinator the past two seasons, is expected to remain on Pagano’s staff and handle wide receivers. That’s a position Christensen held from 2002-09.

    I just found news links going both ways. Some say still here some say let go.

    Really like the hire. Let's see how the rest of the coaching staff ends up.

    I'd like to hear what the Colts plan to do with Tressell. I just had a feeling he'd end up the ST coach.

    I heard or read (can't remember which) that Pittsburgh's owner wanted to get back to 'Steelers football' - which is running the ball. In a league that is designed for a passing game, that's an odd decision to make.

    Yeah and now Keith Butler who was the Steelers LB is our new DC. Looks like the Colts will be playing the 3-4 defense next year. Interested to see how our defensive unit ends up with Butler, and obviously head coach Pagano coming from DC of Ravens

    It's worth noting that Pagano has spent the last few years coaching players to play against Arians' offense twice a year. He must have some respect for what he was doing in Pittsburgh.
