    Default Change of heart?

A lot of us made our predictions earlier in this thread - http://www.pacersdigest.com/apache2-...t=67869&page=3

Does anyone want to alter their previous statement yet?

I previously said 37, but with the way they have started off, I'm leaning more towards something like 42.

ya , my official post of 38 wins.

But I am seriously thinking with our schedule as it is we will be anywhere between
    37 and 41 ..

Once everything "clicks" for our team and we suck it up for a few games here and there early on , I predict quite a few win streaks..

But I am still gonna stick with 38

    So, even though I predicted a solid 38 wins , or between 37 and 41 ..

I will say, that the this team is definitely clicking... I will also say that I don't think we have even begun to scratch the surface on how good this team CAN be ...

With that being said, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see us get between 42 and 44 wins .... Provided that everyone remains healthy ... barring injury...

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

If we can stay afloat the next couple weeks our season ending schedule is a cupcake, major win padding opportunities there.

38 would be a nice number. it's doable, definitely. it depends on how well we escape the tough schedule and where we stand at the end of february.

I underestimated the coaching difference from the beginning of last year to this season.

I'd add 5 wins to my guess, and change to 35.

I'm holding firm with my initial prediction of 40 (though I built in an assumption that they'd make an in-season acquisition). Looking good so far!

Our PG and Center position is going to hurt unless we have Lance turn into a great starting PG on us and Roy starts producing + instead of -. I don't think that's very likely.
Yeah, it looks like I was VERY wrong so far hehe.

I'd like to switch to 36.

Right now we are roughly on pace to win 46. I predicted 40. I'm sticking with 40 as the low end of my predicted range... so we win 40-46 games this season. 46 being the absolute best case scenario (offense improves steadily, no injuries, etc...)

If you average that out, I guess I'm predicting 43 now. 43-23

I predicted 36. I feel pretty good about that, obviously, but at this point 40+ seems more likely. Still, it's early; I'll stick with 36. Typically you get bit sometimes with the injury bug.

40 wins is what I would predict for this team now. That equates to 50 wins in a regular 82 game schedule and that is about what this team is. I would not predict more than 40 wins though

So you think we're going to play sub-.500 ball the rest of the season? Interesting.

To be fair, by sticking with your 36 wins prediction, so do you.

Yeah I predicted 31 wins, 34/35 seems about right I think, let's make it 35wins now if we get Monta for Danny that would make it 50 for sure ...... take that Peck

36.5 would be .500 the rest of the way. I have a really hard time seeing the Pacers being under that. Part of that is their schedule. The three Western conference teams the Pacers play twice this season are Golden State, Minnesota, and New Orleans. If I counted right, only 22 of their last 49 games are against teams with a winning record. And of course they also only have 22 games left on the road. People have said that the schedule has been easy so far, but the schedule is just as easy the rest of the season. The Pacers will probably end up with one of the easiest schedules in the NBA based on the way its shaking out.

So with that said, I guess I'll guess 40. That would be 28-21 the rest of the way.

I want to wait and see where we are at the end of this month, but if we're 13 and 7, I'll adjust my prediction up to 40 wins.

Oops. To be fair, I did say it looks like they'll win 40+ now; I just didn't feel like "officially" re-committing. That had more to do with me wanting to (for a change) look right ahead of time (pre-season) by "officially" sticking to the lower number. Truth is, if you made me adjust I'd say 40 or so. The injury talk was to justify sticking with my lower expectation pick to "be right" (as if that actually matters).

    This is all stupid.

I'm predicting somewhere in the 59-61 range, depending on if Vogel decides to rest starters at the end of the season after winning out the next 47 or so. Personally, I want to see him leave the starters in there and end the season at 61-5, but I understand wanting to bench players before going 16-0 in the playoffs.

    Go Pacers.

You understand this season is only 66 games right? your prediction is pretty much asking the Pacers to only lose like 2 or 3 games the rest of the way.

I predicted 38 before the season started, seems unfair to get a redo. Hope we win many more games though.
