I'm sort of disappointed we got robbed of the D-Rose interview. Listening to him butcher the english language is usually a pretty hilarious experience.
This is low. I like you Trader Joe. But comon. Give Rose respect. He might be the best player in the league. Lets not start picking apart his english language pronunciations. That's low.

What's really getting crazy is that every single one of our young guys are doing things that they couldn't do last year... DC with the euro step, Hansbrough with his back to the basket, Roy with everything, George with shooting and dribbling... It goes on and on.

Does anybody know where to find the David West dunk? I missed it...

Collison pulled out a few Rondo-esque moves tonight, with the fake pass and reverse thingy...

    I'm lovin DWest.

Paul George seems to have 1 highlight-reel play in every 4th quarter.

DJones had some very nice plays tonight.

Hibbert, ya. Granger, ya. Hansbrough, ya.

The guy lost his chance for my respect on that side of things when he skipped out on his SATs. He doesn't speak well, and the fact that he skipped out on his SATs clearly says something about him.

    Great basketball player, amazing athlete.

Well, the Bulls don't have the smartest of fans, so that may just be helping the argument that Boozer is better than Gibson.

That's insane. Boozer shoots at a better % and rebounds at a better percentage. Really the only thing Gibson does better is block shots.
I stopped at this post, and there's about 5 pages ahead of me, so maybe someone else points this out, but Boozer is Troy Murphy tough.

He disappears at the worst times and kills bad teams, but struggles against good teams. If you go by stats I think you're being Murphy'd.

Troy Murphy has never shot above 50% from the field for a season. Boozer has done it every year for his career.

Calling Boozer an all star would be a gross mis-representation of his skill level. Comparing him to Troy Murphy is the same thing just at the opposite end of the spectrum.

We get it stats aren't the end all, be all of basketball, but I swear sometimes around here it's like most people would have you believe they don't matter at all.

Does Rose get offended then when Noah celebrates after every dunk?

I bet he wanted to talk about his terrible starting power forward, hahahaha Boozer is going to stop Rose for getting to the promise land.

Murphy shoots a ton of 3 point shots, so the shooting percentage disparity is partially the difference in the types of shots they take. Boozer IS Troy Murphy bad on defense.

82 games on Boozer last year at PF, his per was 16.7, and the guy he was guarding was 17.6. His eFG% was 47.2%. The guy he was guarding? 51.1%.

So no, I'm not acting like numbers don't matter. I'm just looking at different numbers.

***EDIT*** Just for fun I looked up Murphy's defensive numbers in 08-09 when he was here. His opponents per was 18.5 and shot 51.3% against him. Looks pretty similar to Boozer.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, but Derrick Rose is a great player, I would LOVE to have him on our team. I know teams without superstars can win, but he is just so good at changing the direction of a game.

And moving on to the win, I was on edge of my seats, in those last 30 seconds. It was all a blur, especially when DC slipped, but it was great game, even if we had lost. Great to see them come back by 10 points down.

6-18 FG. I was screaming at him and his outside shooting in the 4th. His shot selection left much to be desired. He was forcing shots.
No. He was missing shots. Completely different. Paul George was the one who forced some shots (those Kobe-like ones).

    Indiana ****in' Pacers?

The main reason I lead this thread off with Granger and the reason I'm giving him my player of the game, is this, he was amazing on defense in the second half, and more than anything, when he came off a screen to hit that jumper that put us up 89-82, I about **** my pants with joy. That was the type of play that Danny was butter off of the year he scored 24 PPG and it's the type of play we need to run for him at the end of the game, and he proved (once again) that when you put him in the right situation to take a big shot late in the game he's going to nail it.

He also had the key offensive rebound to make it 87-82. Without that 4 point spurt to make it 89-82, we likely would have lost IMO. The Bulls had already started their run at that point and Danny was able to delay it pretty significantly with those two crucial (and back to back) possessions.
Danny had three defensive rebounds in the last three minutes against the Lakers.

Didn't get to watch the game, really wish it had been on LP so I could check the replay. Obviously a great win, especially after the debacalu Tuesday. I don't understand the comments about Rose. We could do a lot worse than him in terms of faces of the league. The more tension and rivalry between these two teams, the better.

Great win! I'll rewatch right away.

The double teams/rotations in the 2nd half were much better tonight than they have been all season. I love seeing that progress, especially since Rose is very capable of making a good pass in those situations.

LOL at Rose. Things he'll never forget: His kids being born, September 11th, the way the Pacers celebrated after that win.

Went to the box score because Paul George had 0 assists.

Hibbert Slam Dunk Shot: Made (20 PTS) Assist: Granger (1 AST) 00:13.1
    [IND 94-90]
Uh, that was PG24 with the pass.

On opening night they gave Lance's assist to Dahntay at home even, at least this was on the road.

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.
