Dribbling off his face? I guess you missed Rose diving on teh floor and tripping him. I'm pretty sure it was Rose.
I can't watch that video at work because our archaic internet filter doesn't trust NBA.com and I can't say I watched the play more than the times it was shown on the broadcast but I seem to distinctly remember the ball hitting the floor, DC's face, and the floor again in that order. Hence, "dribbled off his face".

Maybe my memory is off. Either way, it makes no difference and seems to be a really silly thing to take issue with.

I'm just sick of the over-the-top criticisms that a select few like to constantly harp on, and DC is one in particular's favorite whipping boy when he's not ignoring Danny's defense.

Before or after Rose tripped him? BEFORE...

Saying he dribbled it off his face is something Vnzla, or you, would latch on too and try to use to show how bad of a ball handler DC is.

Sorry for thinking that proper context ought to be used, so it's not taking wildly out of proportion.

I'm not making it a big deal. I said my peace, and then you brought it back up. If you want to stop talking about it, then stop talking about it.

It was just a comment made in passing.

So...we beat the Bulls on the road last night? And Darren Collison had a pretty good game on both ends of the court?

(For the record, I didn't take the Collison dribbling it off his face thing as a jab at Collison, DC is a pretty good ball handler, I don't know how anyone could say that against him. I just think it was being referenced because that IS what happened, technically. Just one of those freak moments in basketball where the ball bounces a goofy way, luckily DC kept after it and got it to Paul.)

This is low. I like you Trader Joe. But comon. Give Rose respect. He might be the best player in the league. Lets not start picking apart his english language pronunciations. That's low.
Well, "low" around here is pretty common. But asking an NBA player to have perfect grammar is kind of stupid. As stupid as asking all the white collar stiffs on this board to perform a 40 inch vertical leap.

The guy lost his chance for my respect on that side of things when he skipped out on his SATs. He doesn't speak well, and the fact that he skipped out on his SATs clearly says something about him.

    Great basketball player, amazing athlete.
I have no problem with Rose choosing not to take his SAT.

I have a problem with Tim Donaghy getting someone to impersonate him and forge his SAT.

If you were Tom Thibodeau, would you have had Scal playing in that situation last night?

    John Hollinger (12:13 PM)

Keep in mind that he had Scal in for the defensive stop, and then he kept him out there when he decided not to call timeout and press the advantage. I'm sure he would have liked to sub Korver back in and have KK take that shot, but they may not have got such a look if they'd call timeout first. Classic coaching Catch-22.

Here's Rose's post game interview where he is actually very complimentary to the Pacers. Doesn't make me hate the Bulls and their fans any less. But it's an interesting counterpoint to the whining he supposedly did to one reporter about the Pacers celebrating (so far I've only seen that quote on Twitter):

I think the point is that Collison has some choking issues in the fourth quarter. He IS a great ball handler, but under pressure managed to dribble it with his face.

While I'm making a zillion posts, one more thing:

I didn't mind Paul George taking those two baseline jumpers late in the game. One of them led to something good: Granger's put-back.

I think that is a high percentage shot for Paul. Sure, I would have liked to see one or both of them go in, but he has a solid midrange and his leap and length are so long that a contested shot isn't as big of a deal for him. Lord knows, we have trouble getting high percentage shots off, and in my opinion that shot by George will prove to be high percentage if he keeps on taking it. JMO.

Yeah. DRose had someone take the SAT for him in a completely different state, no less. Coach Cal and Memphis got their national runner up team wiped off the record books because he was academically ineligible.

    Yeah, definitely Rose.
    http://www.nba.com/video/games/bulls...s=iref:nbahpt1

DC was turning the corner (to pull the ball out and milk the clock), and his foot and Rose's foot hit, DC goes down, flips the ball out to PG, who then delievers the pass to Roy.

    Rose didn't dive though.
Thanks for the video, I stand corrected on the assist. I had Danny and PG switched in my brain (thought Danny was in front and PG was behind).
