After last season, my opinion was that the biggest thing our team needed was for Hibbert to grow a pair.
Well, I will never question Hibbert's toughness again.
The man has definitely done what I had hoped.
Great win by the Pacers. Big Roy tearing it up with the broken nose was great. Very solid game and win by the Pacers. Sure can't complain much about how things look thus far. They've exceeded expectations in my view and can only continue to improve. Pacers for the great win.
What Lebron James should've said after the loss to the Mavs!
What should I do? Should I admit Iíd made mistakes? Should I remind you Iíve done this before? What should I do? Should I just sell shoes?
Hibbert was the story of the game, but Amundson was the story of the game thread. #ponytailedweirdo
Such a huge win. Such a great effort. Such an amazing performance.
Staying awake to watch this game from 4.30 to 7.00 in the dawn paid up. Who cares that I have to write 3 exams in 3 hours? I'm gonna ace' em all after this win
Thanks so much!
WOW guys, this game was one to remember!
So much to talk about... It's 12:41 here in CA and I am still practically shaking!
I've been invited by Pacers.com to write a guest blog about my experiences at the game, so assuming they like it and publish it, hopefully that will be on the site sometime later today!
But just briefly:
SO FREAKING PROUD of our boys tonight. Gutted out a hard fought W against 5 White Jerseys and 3 Stripes. Roy proved that he is an All Star and the MIP of the league, and we just kept our composure and WON a tough, tough game.
I'm so humbled and honored to have been a very small part of it all tonight.
I really hope Roy heart my "Hib Hib Hooroy" during player intros, I almost completely lost my voice I yelled it so loud
So cool you got to be there for the game!
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.
"A player who makes a team great is more valuable than a great player. Losing yourself in the group, for the good of the group, thatís teamwork."
It's always nice to see them play in person. I mean, I got to see Reggie play his final game in LA, and that was awesome. But we've always gotten killed here in LA.
Of course, last year I missed the game due to the birth of my daughter (as documented in my Area 55 vids)
So I was really worried if I am being honest that NOW that I was back in attendance again, we would get killed like usual.
I am so proud of our boys for sticking in there, fighting against the dirty play, the bad calls, the busted noses, and gutting out a Win.
This victory could very well define the 2010-2011 Indiana Pacers. I really believe that. THIS is the team we need to be if we want to become special. And I believe we will!
