    Default Hoopsworld Power Rankings

    http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-power-rankings-week-three

Indiana is solid this year and while Danny Granger is no longer the dominant scorer, the Pacers are getting points from seven different
    players.

3rd place. i think this is too high but it def feels good to be considered a solid team again.

I sort of hinted at it in another thread but I think the ranking is actually correct and sort of wrong at the same time. I really think that 3-15 in this league are virtually identical. As of right now with all the injuries and such. You'll see the Heat, Pacers, Sixers, Magic, Lakers, Spurs, Hawks, Clippers, Nuggets, Magic, and Mavs will all essentially beat each other up rising and falling as the weeks continue on. But really I think any of those teams can beat any of them. In the long run, the healthy Heat will once again be a juggernaut but right now they're hurting.

Although I have been waiting on this feeling for WAY to many years I am afraid that this high ranking is premature.

In fact anything above 12 is premature until we play some more quality teams. We have not had any real competition yet. Playing detroit and toronoto does not make us a elite team. Yeah it makes for some really good feel good moments but we need to play some teams like okc, dallas, clippers that are considered to be up there as well to really get a feel for what we can do.

Our team is playing great, I really hope they do not see these ranking and start getting a big head and start thinking they made it to the big boys club.

The Celts wins were good, but I expect a few more bad losses to good teams as the season goes on. Not too high, not too low.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Miami has lost to GS, So has Chicago, Detroit beat ORL. Wins are wins, and team can beat any other if they get hot/ lucky enough in the NBA, and the Cavaliers aren't a bad team, they are currently a playoff team.

There isn't a team that is going to easily beat every team they play. These are professionals. MIA could have lost to the Bobcats and Timberwolves had it not been for last second scoring from D. Wade.

Good teams beat the teams they are supposed to beat. A win is a win.

With that said, I hardly believe we are the 3rd best team in the East let alone the 3rd best team in the league. Nice to get some notoriety around the league however.

We will see what Pacers are worthy of on this west coast road trip. They come back 12-3 then I'd agree with this.

    # 3 ranking is way too high, but I think Eric Pincus is just going by this weeks performances, not who is the best overall.

3 is high, there is no way around it, put us there if we win 2 out of 3 or all 3 on this Western road trip. However i do believe we are a top 4 team in the East, and top 3 in the east at this point is at least arguable, with Indy, Philly and Orlando each having a claim on the 3 spots after MIA and CHI

We beat all of those teams, other than Detroit once, and it's the god damn NBA. The best teams lose to the most poor every year. Don't have retarded expectations.

if we come back 12-3, which I think is a very strong possibility, then I'd say this is accurate.
