I sort of hinted at it in another thread but I think the ranking is actually correct and sort of wrong at the same time. I really think that 3-15 in this league are virtually identical. As of right now with all the injuries and such. You'll see the Heat, Pacers, Sixers, Magic, Lakers, Spurs, Hawks, Clippers, Nuggets, Magic, and Mavs will all essentially beat each other up rising and falling as the weeks continue on. But really I think any of those teams can beat any of them. In the long run, the healthy Heat will once again be a juggernaut but right now they're hurting.
Although I have been waiting on this feeling for WAY to many years I am afraid that this high ranking is premature.
In fact anything above 12 is premature until we play some more quality teams. We have not had any real competition yet. Playing detroit and toronoto does not make us a elite team. Yeah it makes for some really good feel good moments but we need to play some teams like okc, dallas, clippers that are considered to be up there as well to really get a feel for what we can do.
Our team is playing great, I really hope they do not see these ranking and start getting a big head and start thinking they made it to the big boys club.
Miami has lost to GS, So has Chicago, Detroit beat ORL. Wins are wins, and team can beat any other if they get hot/ lucky enough in the NBA, and the Cavaliers aren't a bad team, they are currently a playoff team.
3 is high, there is no way around it, put us there if we win 2 out of 3 or all 3 on this Western road trip. However i do believe we are a top 4 team in the East, and top 3 in the east at this point is at least arguable, with Indy, Philly and Orlando each having a claim on the 3 spots after MIA and CHI
