Tyler's shot is clearly off, but I think it's the glasses. Would love to see him rock the rec specs for a game.

Impressive win tonight. The defense by Danny and Hill is really awesome... both of those guys are covering their man and playing great team D.

Stephenson was in for a little while tonight without Collison, Hill, or Price. And when he was in with Price, he was handling the ball. More grist for the "Stephenson is playing point" mill.

I think Vogel and company really pushed Paul George to attack Ray Allen and make him work on D. PG must have done a better job in sticking to him off the ball, too... Allen didn't do much.

I don't understand why Roy didn't get a technical for taunting KG.
I wonder if KG heard that, you could clearly read Roy's lips and tell what he said. I loved it.

Only 14K (and about half of them wearing green?) I understood only drawing 10k for the Atlanta game, but only 14k on a Saturday night? What more do the Pacers need to do to get the 317's attention?

Not have a lockout before the season.

I am sure there are plenty of people watching the Patriots destroy Denver who wish they would have gone to the game. The Saints and 49ers had a great game, however.

It's early in the season and it will take more winning to draw fans back to games. Attendance is up though.

Did you see the crowd when the Pacers played the Sixers earlier in the week? There were maybe 5k fans in attendance at the Wachovia Center.

The Pacers had 17k for a crappy Charlotte team just one week ago.

I can understand crappy attendance for weekday games, but Saturday nights should draw a heck of a lot more people than 14k.

NFL playoffs. This is a gradual process. I'm still pretty encouraged by a near sellout for the bobcats. Give it some time.

Not selling out a Saturday night game for a game against the Celtics is a little sad.

Yep, that's the guy alright. He shot 26 FGA tonight. For the season, he shoots 21.5 FG for a whopping 42%. Then on top of that he shoots 24% 3pt. WOW, championship maker personified! We don't need a player who is going to take 25-30% of the total FGA each night. How is he going to fit in with a team that passes the ball and plays smashmouth "D". PASS!

Football, baby. I can watch the Pacers in person or both football games + Pacers. I, like many, chose the latter.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

The sports world at large is all about the NFL. This isn't changing any time soon.

I was very happy with the effort tonight, especiallpuy defensively. We looked great!

Paul George finally put some pressure on the d tonight and look how good we looked. Thank you Paul.

Not much to complain about. Best game of the season against a quality opponent desperate for a win. We dismantled them!

There were playoff games last week during the Pacers game then too. This game was also a heck of a lot better than the snoozefest on CBS right now (well unless your like me and rooting for the Pats to just kill Tebowmania )

The Pacers shot more FGA with 94 than any other game this season, but only had 14 asts on 35 baskets. They should have had more asts.

52 rebs with 20 of them offensive reb. That was really nice.

In other news. John Wall almost had a quadruple double.

19pts, 9board, 9dimes, 8TOs. Dude either is regressing or he's doing too much cause his teammates just suck.

Hard to explain unless you attribute the lack of a sellout to a diminishing number of Celtics fans. I seem to remember a higher percentage of the fans being Celts fans in recent years, but today, the crowd that was there was decidedly for the home team. So, no sellout b/c Celts fans are jumping off the bandwagon. I agree that it's still sad that we didn't pack the house with our fans for such a big game though.

As I noted on here, JO had 0 issue taking time out to chat with me when I ran into him at the Wynn casino last year. So, from at least that one personal data point I have no issue with him.

Big win blowing out Boston despite Big Roy having an off game, the bench shooting 23.3%, west only playing 20:40 and Danny still not having his outside shot working. Big games for DC and PG was great to see in a second game of a back-to-back.
Both Roy and Jeff had sub-par games if you look at the tangibles, that's true. But if you look at the intangibles, they, Roy especially, dictated a lot of the defensive tempo. Foster was a horrible 1 for 6 shooting, but had 3 steals. I thought that Roy really disrupted the Celtics inside game tonight. He also stayed out of foul trouble (again) against a team that historically, along with Orland if I remember correctly, used to get him into foul trouble early and often.

Honestly, dumb as it sounds, I don't think that people *get* that the Pacers are a really good team again. I think Indy media has been Colts, Colts, Colts after their trainwreck of a season, then Hoosiers, Hoosiers, Hoosiers after IU's surprising start. Don't think Pacers have been thoroughly covered and to Joe Average Guy, the lockout maybe threw him off a bit and he's not quite into the NBA season yet.

I hope word gets out, though. If you eat before/after, going to Pacers game is a steal for families looking to do something fun on a weeknight/weekend. Heck, I bought 6 tix to bring some friends for something like $75...and three of those were club seats.
