Pulling out crappy road games like this is how you swing your record in the right direction...

A pass to George and the other one I don't know, on the George pass you could see that Tyler was waiting for Paul to get open to make the pass.

Anyone else like me. In the last 3 or 4 minutes of the game tonight, I wanted Hill to run the pick and rolls and not Collison. Main reason is if the play breaks down and the guard needs to make a play late in the shot clock, I do not have confidence in Collison to be able to make something good happen, while Hill can create something out of nothing. And if you notice the pacers coaching staff agreed because hill ran all the pick and rolls late in the game

Gritty win! It's bout time Larry traded Granger for a good pick in this yr's draft. I've never seen so much talent in this draft class up-coming. I recon a team as dumb as the Cavs would bite on Granger and give us their pick!

Was that on the Paul George three? That's actually the only one I remember.

I was saying the same thing in the game thread, I even rather have AJ instead of DC and yeah I saw that Vogel was giving the ball to Hill instead of DC, I just don't trust DC to close the game, he always makes the last minute stupid mistake in either side of the court.

Yeah I remembered that one. When Paul drilled the three.

Nice play by Tyler. The other one I couldn't remember.

Man, we are so much better this year. Hill is a huge addition and fills all the gaps in the back court. West has been a good addition too. Hibbert is so much better. Collison is better. Paul G. is better. Hans is a beast!

We just need to teach Danny how to play and we might be pretty good.

I didn't get to watch it because I was at the Butler game, but I do remember checking my phone and seeing 40-24. My first thought was, "Well it should be interesting to see how we come back." I listen to the end of the game on the radio. Sure enough, Pacers win. This is a special team.

What I think is really cool is that you can tell that this particular team isn't overachieving like us (in past seasons) and other young teams sometimes do to start the season. They're playing big and strong but staying smart about it (for the most part). They're literally hitting the floor and toughing out wins. These guys are ALWAYS looking to make a play instead of just standing around waiting for someone else to do so all the while staying within the team's offense. They're definitely trusting in the process. And hats off to Coach Vogel for being able to sell it to these guys. He's really doing a heck of a job. What really gets me is that they're only going to get better. now that we have some more veteran leadership.

VERY exciting to watch this team's speed and athleticism. It also seems as is if they're maturing so fast that it's almost scary. Especially for other teams!

Yeah, Hill is definitely the player of the game to me. Everyone pulled it together and did what needed to be done down the stretch though.

Still, we don't know what DC said on the floor or in the huddle (for example) that might cause Coach V to say he was the instigator of the comeback. Plus, I thought he did a better job running the offense in the second half. And unlike a certain former coach, I actually believe most of what comes out of Vogel's mouth and I generally trust his judgment, so I give that statement the benefit of the doubt even though DC didn't score a bunch of points.

    8-3!!
In the post game, coach said that Collison's increased ball pressure set the tone for the defense in the 2nd quarter. But he also said that Hill had a great game on both ends of the court.

In the 2 previous games, JP and Granger were standing next to each other, and it was a noticeable difference that JP was taller than Granger. Both are listed at 6'9", is JP taller than 6'9"?

Yeah he's been good all year at attacking the rim off the pick and roll. He's seems to come off the screen harder and with more "purposefullness"(as QB would say) than Collison. He doesn't create much but he makes the right pass. His passes are crisp too which is something I'd like to see more out of DC and even Paul for that matter. Too casual sometimes IMO.

Good win. Dinner should be on Danny tomorrow night.

I sure would like to find a way to keep Hansbrough in at the end. He's such a gamer.
Why wasn't Hibbert closing the game? Did he foul out?

    or

Did we just need the brute "rip the rebound out of your hands and then swing his razor sharp elbows at everyone" strength and energy of Hansbrough at the end of the game?

We've had years where we always seem to lose the games that could go either way. This year, we've won two games we really shouldn't have (Missed Kyrie Irving layup, missed free throws in Toronto). Not to be a downer, but we could very easily be 6-5.

    1. Couldn't agree more.

    2. Embarrassing.

    3. I didn't see anything wrong with it, of course I'm young and into that kind of music.
I texted my Cousin-In-Law who lives in Toronto about this after the game and asked him to thank the Raptors for signing him. He said the same exact thing....it was flatout embarassing....2 airballs in 1 game at the FT line.

Yes, he's stupid for doing that in the 1st place ( I'm not excusing him for it ) but it's not entirely unreasonable to think that in the heat of the game that he actually forgot that he got the 1st technical in the first place.

Excuses are excuses, and this game doesn't qualify like that anyhow. It's not like toronto's FT's would have iced the game or anything.

This game wasn't like the Cavs game. We were up by 3 points when Magliore went to the foul line...even if he hit those 2 FTs...we would still be up by 1 point with 10 seconds left in the game. This game, it was ours to lose....in the Cavs game...it was the Cavs/Irving to win/lose.
