Other than Miami, the 76ers are as tough of match-up for our team as any team in the East.

This will be a big test.

It's a bit like looking in a mirror. Especially if you slide Turner in for Meeks.

Nice work, TJ. These game threads look better every time. A lesser man would have used "Seventy-Suxors".

Yikes, Danny, George and Roy might be out.

Already getting ready for a loss.

    However,
This will be a great chance for Lance, Amudson and that new guy whose name I don't remember to show us some stuff.

We are always talking about how deep this team is. Tonight we will see.

except for Jrue Holiday defensively is so much better. Offensively he is similar to DC but defensively it isn't even close.

Last year he killed us. It was ugly to watch. I bet DC will be extra motivated against his former UCLA teammate, especially after getting dominated last year.

How the heck did UCLA not win the championship with JRue, DC and Westbrook on the same team?

This is going to be a huge test, so I hope we are full strength. Philly is probably the only team I believe has a better bench than us (Williams, Turner, Young, Nocioni).

Their 5-2 record still underrates them IMO. Philly has the best point differential in the league. They've played 5 of their 7 games on road and barely lost in their 2 losses. They've blown away their opponents in their wins.

I think their success can be credited to Hawes & Williams - they are playing out of their mind. Hopefully it's just a fluke and they both cool off.

    Big time statement game tonight.

Wesbrook left the year before Jrue came.

The real question is how the hell did they not win that season with Westbrook, Collison, Kevin Love, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, and Josh Shipp?

    Derrick Rose is how.

Oh yeah, I forgot Kevin Love was on that team too. I mean that team would be one of the top NBA teams. They must've had a bad coach or something. Heck of a recruiter though!

Has there ever been a college team with so much talent since the Fab 5?

We have the advantage at basically every position, besides maybe Iggy and Granger. They'll still beat us and I dont understand why. Homecourt advantage, I guess?
    Here we come lottery?

Despite Collison playing better to start the year than he did last year, Holiday is still a much better player.

They went to 3 straight Final Fours. The 1st two they got beat by the Florida team that went back-to-back, and the 3rd time they got beat by Derrick Rose's Memphis team.

I'm sure they were disappointed not to win a title in any of those 3 trips, but that is not an accomplishment to sneeze at, and it certainly isn't an indictment of their coach.

Aren't they also superior at the pg?I mean Holiday and Lou Williams have to be better than Collison and Price or Lance, right?

Even then, that team is stacked. Two all stars and two NBA starters/sixth men? Wow.

Based on how UCLA is doing now, I would say your coaching theory has some legs...

How about the 2002 Duke squad with Carlos Boozer, Jay Williams, Dahntay Jones, Chris Duhon and Mike Dunleavy?

I don't like Lou Williams much. I'll be very happy if we can bait him into going shot crazy tonight, as long as he doesn't get abnormally warm from the field.

He normally does I always remember him going off versus us. A Lou Williams is a player we could use as long as we had him on a leash. Like most streaky scorers he can win you games and he can shoot you out of games.

Crum, I was really looking forward to the match ups of

    Hibbert/Hawes
    Boozer/West
    Granger/Iggy
    Collison/Holiday
    Hans/Young

Isn't Pendergraph available to play tonight?

Huge measuring stick game tonight, IMO.

We need to come out and impose our will like we did in the second half against Boston and the Bobcats.

Hope we are as close to full strength as possible.

Yeah, that Duke team was pretty awesome. UNC had a pretty good squad in 2008 with Tyler, Ellington, Danny Green and Ty Lawson as well. Not near as much talent as that loaded UCLA squad though.
