Jeff Foster may be the most underappreciated Pacer of all time. He comes in the game and patrols all the way out past the 3 point line to lay a body on both Walker and Augustin and changes the entire flow of the Bobcats offense.
how dude gets a standing O every time he enters and leaves the court.

Just got back from the game, does anyone know why West was limited in minutes in the 2nd half? He didn't play at all in the 4th.
31, coming off knee surgery, team rolling w/o him, 66 game condensed schedule. Nothing more.

Pretty good win. I hope I can get ahold of footage of Paul's dunk at the end, that was pretty spicy. Kind of a ****** first half, but as the Pacers do, we came back after halftime and really performed. Looked like Hibbert didn't really show up to play until after his injury, but he did get 2-3 blocks, had that nice dunk early in the first, and then put the ball in the hoop after he came back in for Foster.

Really wishing we would look more into keeping Paul George in the second unit instead of switching in Dahntay; I'd rather see Paul get the chances than Dahntay botch them.
What? The dude scored his 16th point before he got injured.

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

    It was actually Tyrus Thomas.

Henderson and DJ did whatever they wanted in the first half. Their penetration killed us and lead to easy offense. George couldnt keep Henderson out of the paint. But in the 2nd our perimeter defense really improved and the penetration was really limited. Also the effort in general was just a lot better in the 2nd.

You have a point. Fans at the fieldhouse love him, opposing team commentators love him. I just think it often gets overlooked how his ability to go put the hurt on penetrating guards can completely change how opponents attack the basket.

Boris Diaw had one of the worst individual performances I've seen this season. Terrible shot selection, bad defense, etc.; it was all bad.

Yeah, for a minute there I wasn't sure if that was Diaw or Hot plate Williams

Wow the post game threads are awfully short when the Pacers win....

Granger at 33% FG tonight, but again made alot of great plays on D and made good decisions on the other end. Only had 1-2 questionable shots. I actually think he had a couple of shots that he passed up. I loved seeing him down in the post. 50% from the post this game, only 2 shots attempted though, but both were good looks after backing his man down.

Hopefully Roy can go against Philly.

AJ should be the backup PG, Tyler and George Hill look much better with him than with Lance, but looks like that's not gonna happen which is ********, whatever, not gonna let it bring me down til it costs us.

Loved seeing Hill punk out Henderson in the second half. That's what a champion does.

    on AJ vs Lance.

AJ is a better team defender, but Lance is a much more gifted offensive player. Things do feel more steady with AJ out there, but things will settle down with Lance once he gets more playing time. You gotta play the kid now and maybe by the time the post season comes he will be fitting in well. It's not like the team is living or dying by either AJ or Lance getting 10 minutes of action.

On Philly. They are playing some of the best basketball in the league right now. They blew out Toronto by 35 tonight. I think the Pacers are gonna lose that game. I just hope the Pacers play hard and don't have a game like they did vs Miami.

If you think we've played a cupcake schedule so far, you should go take a peek at the Sixers season at this point. Cup-cake city baby.

Let's put it this way. The team has looked the best it's looked all year, particularly the second unit since adding AJ and Foster to the lineup.

    Why change it?

7 rebounds in 12 minutes will do it. Plus, he basically positions himself to box out and let other Pacers get the rebounds he doesn't get. He is really fun to watch.

    WARNING! Possibly meaningless stat alert!

In the Pacers last 8 quarters of play, they have held their opponent under 20 points in 6 of them.
    Not a meaningless stat.

I really think we are watching the evolution of something special.

I would however, like to see Frank reign in D. Jones a bit, and I'm not a fan of most of our technical fouls. Sometimes they are useful, but often they are just a result of a lack of discipline that can end up costing a team in the end.

I actually think Dahntay has played really well and really within himself for the past couple of games.

I know you are a big AJ fan, and I like him too, but I just don't think it makes much of a difference which of the two guys are playing. I think it's more important to get Lance acclimated to the NBA game and his teammates. I want to know how good the kid can be.

Me too, he made one really bad play tonight on that fast break where he went 1 on 3, but I can allow him one of those a game, he usually gets to the line on those. I suppose the kick in the nuts to Tyrus was bad too... but he almost made it look accidental That play definitely won't be on the next sportsmanship commercial.

I think he fits the identity of the team great, and I don't mean the no passing identity... I mean the hard-nosed, physical style of play.

Go compare Tyler's stats in the past two games to the first 6 from an efficiency standpoint and then ask yourself it really makes no difference.

Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

UB and Rock747 already said something about it, but I have to bring it up again.

Croshere did a fantastic job! He's not Clark...yet, but he is much better than anyone else we've had as a color commentator. I really like him doing that job. I hope he gets the gig permanently.
