Default Official Danny Granger trade ideas

This one mimic's the deal that was almost done with the Tblazers regarding Gerald Wallace. Orlando is said to want veteran guys or "win now" pieces back in a Dwight Howard trade. Rumor was 4 first round picks for Gerald Wallace.

Pacers get: 3 first rd picks and Marshon Brooks

Magic get: Danny Granger and Brook Lopez, Okur and a 1st rd pick

Nets get: Dwight Howard and Hedo

We could possibly take Jameer Nelson if ORL wants him gone but since they want a win now guy I left him out. Trade Machine is down if Okur doesnt fit under the nets salary he could be shiped our way just to make it work.

Trade may have to be altered a bit trade machine is down so I didn't see if it works. But I feel this could possibly work for all 3 teams involved. I really like it for us we get to move George to the SF and we bring in a scorer to play with him and get 3 good draft picks which is a hell of a haul for Granger.

Magic allegedly gets what they want from what I have read and from the almost trade with the Blazers before the season.

normally rookies can be traded the first season after they sign but with the short season and short signing period I don't know how it works this year. Im sure they will make exceptions so rookies can be traded this year.

post your Danny trade ideas in this thread. Should of traded him a few years ago for a package like this honestly dont even know if he still has this much value.

Rookies can be traded Jan. 9th for my understanding.

Update...I guess it's 30 days from the day they signed their contract.
I have noticed some rookies can be traded as early as the 9th, yet some I noticed the 15th.
I also read an article that stated 30 days which makes sense with the dates being different for the trade dates on rookies. I would post the article but I saw it on my phone and now I can't remember where I read it. Hope this helps.

It's good value, but do we really want/need that much more youth added to this roster? I'd rather package a few guys with Danny and shoot for a bigger fish.

Yeah I was thinking this is the opposite direction that Bird wants to go in.

If we were going to be involved in a deal like this, why wouldn't we offer Danny, Hibbert, and a couple of firsts (2012 and 2014) for Dwight and Hedo? I would think we would rather have Dwight than facilitate him going to NJ/Brooklyn.

    PG - Collison, Stephenson, Price
    SG - George, Hill
    SF - Hedo, DJones
    PF - West, Hansborough, Amundsen
    C - Dwight, Foster, Pendergraph

    PG - Nelson, Duhon, Hughes
    SG - JRichardson, Reddick, Wafer
    SF - Granger, QRich, Liggins
    PF - Anderson, Clark, Harper
    C - Hibbert, Davis, Orton

I would throw in Collison (or Hansborough) as well.

This won't happen, but it makes more sense than helping the Nets.
"Your course, your path, is not going to be like mine," West says. "Everybody is not called to be a multimillionaire. Everybody's not called to be the president. Whatever your best work is, you do it. Do it well. You cease your own greatness when you aspire to be someone else."

The year Hibbert is having is only increasing his value. I'd love to go after Howard, but only if he'd sign an extension. I'd only trade Hibbs if it landing Howard. I'm quite fond of Hibbert.
With the #3 pick in the 2015 draft, your Indiana Pacers!

I'd pass on Howard. We'd likely have to sacrifice too much young talent. There's a very good chance he wouldn't re-sign with us. And then we'd be stuck with Turkoglu's nightmare of a contract and nothing else to show for it.

I think the rush by everyone to trade Danny lately is stupid. But'd I'd definitely do that. Brooks + 3 1st's and the added financial flexibility that comes with it has more market value than Danny. In a market like ours it's all about maximizing assets.
