He shouldn't be. Now I like Reggie Miller as much, well maybe not as much, as the next guy. Seriously though, of the original list created for the NBA's 50th Anniversay who would anybody take off to put Reggie on? Now if you want to put him in the top 50 of the past 25 years thus eliminating the George Mikan era people I could see that.
Still that original list is solid and if the NBA wanted to revise that list you would see the likes of Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, and sadly Kobe Bryant.
Reggie is a great player, greatest in Pacer history, but not in the NBA's top 50.
Well, when the top 50 players list was made I beleived Reggie belonged on it and there are some good reasons.
He is one of if not the greatest three-point shooters in the history of the game.
He is one of the greatest clutch performers in the game
In his prime he stepped it up in the playoffs (were it really counts) like no other, I beleive he had the highest point per game increase in the playoffs from the regular season (the last two seasons might have brung that down, not sure)
He is the face of a franchise that despite not winning a championship has been very good through out the 90's, including almost knocking out the Bulls in '98 and going to the finals in 2000.
He is definetely one of the top 50 playoff performers ever and aren't the playoffs were it matters?
