I guess you'd rather have a player on the Pistons who missed his shot and pouted away instead of getting it back and putting it in. Good choice.
No need to get into this game.

Why is it Pacers posters want to give up nothing for Cousins, and expect the Kings to jump all over the deal? YET, if it was a Pacer player their value would be unbelieveably high. 3rd tier players and a 1st is NOT going to get Cousins. Cousins salary of 3.6 mil makes him difficult to get value, so I don't expect to see Cousins traded. A more likely scenario is that Westphal is replaced as coach with a hardline no nonsense type coach.

I would do a Djones and this years first for cousins. Give him 2 years with Dwest and its worth the gamble especially if we are picking around 20s in this years draft.

LOL!! Why in the world would the Kings be interested in doing this?

The Paul George pick is looking better by the day.

This man is shooting %35. And a good portion of his makes come from chasing down his own bricks and putting them back up.
    TimDonahue8p9s Tim Donahue
Danny Granger (3/22), Tyler Hansbrough (5/24) and David West (3/11) have combined to shoot 19.3% from 16 to 23 feet.

    TimDonahue8p9s Tim Donahue
Granger (8/17), West (5/11), and Paul George (2/6) are all shooting below 50% at the rim.

He'll never coach again in the NBA. Besides Cousins isn't a 3 pt shooter.

From what I have read, this whole Cousins trade demand is nothing more then Cousins getting into a heated argument with Westphal and Cousins saying something ( in the heat of the moment ) that he likely did not mean. Kind of like when some spouse getting really mad with their spouse over something minor and then saying something "over the top" like "Well, if you don't like it....we should just get a divorce". The guy is clearly an emotional guy that hasn't developed any sense of maturity and have had difficulty throughout his entire career of dealing with authority figures ( as in Head Coaches ). I can tell you that despite all of the talent....his emotions IMHO is a "variable" that I do not want to have on my Team....we know have seen enough of drama to know that it's not worth the trouble.

I need to know that my Team has minimal "drama" and "variables" to sideline the Team and season......and Cousins...despite the talent and potential.... seems to be on the track to be create unnecessary "drama" for any Team that he's on.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Look at all of his teammates' comments. It looks like they're used to his dramatic outbursts by downplaying what he said.

    Interesting debate

Its hard to speculate would the Pacers get involved in a trade for Cousins, without knwoing what it would cost them

If the offer was some combination of a 1st round pick and a player like (Dhanty Jones, Pendergrass, Price, etc) I would be all over that. Though I doubt Sacramento would. The risk in taking on a guy like Cousins is minimal, because he would onlyn have 1 more year guaranteed, and one restricted. The biggest issue to me is what if he did get his act together and produce, then do you reward him with a big contract?

I know these situations are different but I remember when Zach Randolph was potentially avaialable and saw enough people posting here that you would think he was some version of the Anti Christ. He has since had no issues and was a big key to the Grizzlies success

Risk is trade is just like the stock market. You can have all the information needed to make an intelligent decesion, yet still have it backfire

I will say that even if Demarcus had no issues , that is not our biggest need. After 4 games to me it is painfully obvious but for the 3rd straight year we have needed a player who can create off the dribble

I would much rather keep pushing to aquire a guy like Oj Mayo or Eric Gordon
Perhaps we could swing a three team trade where we get Gordon and NO gets Cousins. If they are serious about trading him they will have to accept an equivalent salary back. So they cannot ask for an exorbitant price in return.

We're not taking on a Cancer like cousins. If we could get value facilitating a deal though... You at least have to answer the phone.

However, this kid is a bonehead, heated discussion or not, to be causing trouble like this so early in his career isn't a good thing for his future prospects.

That said he's too talented to let go from the kings perspective, they've already invested too much in him. Westphal will be sent packing before cousins.

Its a low ball offer but when you got a headache of a player thats the kind of offers you get. What did Aaron Brooks go for? Dragic and a first right?

Cousins could get more but it doesn't mean you don't try to acquire more talent and it would be interesting to see how Dwest would help him. The kings lack veterans and Cousins could need just that.

While I like Lance, he's at a logjam right now. By getting Mayo, that means DJ probably wouldn't play much at all, and that makes me a happy guy.

Still, I hope Lance starts to break out by mid year. May take him longer since he won't get many minutes. Still a talented player.
Lance + Starting SG = Awesome

    Now really free Lance!

You can bet the farm on it, and feel comfortable doing it.

Hansbrough has 5 more offensive rebounds than West has but they both have 5 off their own miss and both have 2 makes off those bricks with West getting two additional FT attempts.

    Total-Offensive-Self Rebounds
    45-17-5 for Tyler
    38-12-5 for West

    Last Season
155 O-boards, 37 from his missed FG or 23.81% of offensive boards for West
145 O-boards, 33 from his missed FG or 22.76% of offensive boards for Tyler in Regular Season
158 O-boards, 37 from his missed FG or 23.42% of offensive boards for Tyler plus Playoffs.

Tyler made 10 put backs on his bricks to West's 17 last year.

After watching them or try to watch them playing this year I'm not surprised this happened, the offense was horrible and everything about the team is just horrible overall.
