I know he is crazy but his talent is huge.

    sam_amick Sam Amick
Cousins' agent, John Greig, tells SI.com: "DeMarcus never demanded a trade. I'm surprised the Kings, if they believe the player wanted..."

    sam_amick Sam Amick
Greig: "...a trade, wouldn't have made a phone call to his representative. Maybe Westphal is just feeling the heat early this season."

Here's a little known fact....and a really surprising one at that ESPECIALLY for a Center....Cousin's FG percentage over the last year:

    2010-2011 : 43% on 12.4 FGA through 81 games playing 28 mpg
    2011-2012 : 32% on 13.3 FGA through 4 games playing 27 mpg

I know that Cousin's is super athletic, can rebound and block shots and I'm guessing that his offense is really raw....but I had no idea that he was such a poor shooter as a Center.

I really thought that Hibbert's FG percentage was 46% on 11 FGA last season and has averaged 57% on 10 FGA this season....but at least Hibbert has some decent and solid range on his jumpshot.

On top of that...I know that the Kings are rebuilding and all...but I would have to seriously question the attitude/mentality of a 2nd Year Player that is getting a good # of minutes that would demand a trade from a Team that decided to draft him as a Lottery Pick.

IMHO....it is unheard of for a Sophomore Player to demand a trade in his 2nd year unless he was getting minimal minutes.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

The Rockets are going to be all over this, that could be the perfect situation for him.

The fans in Sacramento want Westphal fired over this.

Cousins should be getting a minimum of 35 mpg. 27 mpg isn't enough for a prospect like Demarcus. Hard to get into the flow of the game

He's worth very little, he will do more harm than good.

Hilarious. They should bench him for the rest of his rookie contract.

A second year player demanding a trade. Wow.

There's no denying his talent but no thanks. The Pacers have a lot of pro's pros on the roster right now. No need to bring him in and stir the pot. The Pacers may have enough mature guys to try to keep him in line but I don't think they need another thing to worry about.

And I think Vogel has his hands full as it is.

    KBergCBS Ken Berger
Kings' Paul Westphal issues statement saying DeMarcus Cousins has demanded a trade. Agent John Greig tells SI.com it isn't true. A mess.

    KBergCBS Ken Berger
Westphail says Cousins has "continually, aggressively" refused to "embrace traveling in the same direction as his team."

    KBergCBS Ken Berger
As a result, Westphal says, Cousins has been directed not to attend tonight's game against New Orleans.

Cousins? No. Anybody need help with cap space to take on another player for whatever reason? Yes.

I thought the new CBA was supposed to prevent stuff like this.

Haha. This dude is a joke. Can't believe someone here compared him to Blake Griffin because Cousins is a 'leader'.

As we know, leaders always get sent home.

This may sound judgemental, but all you really need to do is look at his head shot that is used on ESPN.com...I know don't judge a book by its cover or whatever, but the guy just looks like a complete asshat.

    Statement:

    http://www.nba.com/kings/news/westph...012_01_01.html

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., Jan. 1, 2012 -- “Whenever a new season begins, in any sport, there is great hope that everything will progress in only a steady, upward direction. As we all know, it seldom happens like that in this life!

As coaches, we can only ask that our players do everything they can to improve themselves as individuals and teammates. If they do this with all their hearts, we live with the results.

Everything that happens on a team does not become known to the public. This is how it should be. However, when a player continually, aggressively, lets it be known that he is unwilling/unable to embrace traveling in the same direction as his team, it cannot be ignored indefinitely.

DeMarcus Cousins has demanded to be traded. In the best interest of our team as we go forward, he has been directed by me, with the support of management, to stay home from the New Orleans game tonight.”

Well, this is the type of trades the Pacers should think about doing, if we can get him for free why not?

Because it won't be for free, and I am going to go with the Simmons Rule here: You can have one head case on a team, but you can't have two. Lance certainly qualifies as our one.

I like Lance but I would cut his a** in a minute if I have a chance to get Cousins and I'm comparing his price to Beasley that was traded for two second round picks, almost free.

These trade suggestions are getting out of hand on here, Howard, Westbrook, now a self centered jacka** in Cousins

It is obvious that you forget about this kid:

Some times talent is just not worth it. He is proving why he dropped in the draft. Talent wise he should have been the 2 pick if not the 1st.

Trade him to a veteran team desperate for a talent upgrade up front? Probably Eastern Conference. Boston only has Rondo to dangle. Miami? Orlando? Nope, don't see it. Dallas (in West)?? Nah. Hmmm, how 'bout to Atlanta for Pachulia & picks?

You could always tell that this guy acted like a P.O.S. Hopefully, he gets his act together. He's talented, but that will only buy him time for so long. Not happy with the impact on my fantasy team.
