Thread: Heat Index?

    Default Heat Index?

    http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/

    WTF is this?

I've seen it at the top on ESPN.com, but never actually paid much attention.

They actually dedicated a whole section of their website to the Miami Heat?

Yeah the Heat are a great team, but they don't run the NBA and the Heat are just 1 of the 30 teams.

After all, they aren't the defending champions.
In 49 states it's just basketball, but this is Indiana!

Yes it has been there since the start of last year. The Heat is the top draw in the NBA like it or hate it and ESPN can do whatever they want.

I actually like it during draft time they did write ups on a lot of players.

That's fine because those are all well known sports cities, but the "Heat Index" doesn't need to be on that top bar.

The Heat didn't win anything and if people are fans of them, go on their actual ESPN page.

    I like ESPN.com, but that's ridiculous.

The Heat are just another team in the league. They're a good team though, but still 1/30 teams.

The Heat Index is fine with me. The hotter the better for LeBron and DWade. Like Hades.

I never really looked at it, but apparently, the Heat Index spent most of last year bashing the Heat. Been told it was kinda sweet because of the irony. But I imagine this year will be different with the Heat being much better.

Maybe you've missed it, but they've dedicated a whole section of their site for every NBA team.

...because the Heat have a massive national following?

Why do you think you see Tim Tebow and his 3rd grade arm every 10 seconds? This isn't about giving everybody a fair chance to be on TV. Networks like to make money ,and you do that by featuring what's popular.
