    Default What would you give for Westbrook?

    I know they're just rumors, but if he and Durant can't coexist, then what would you be willing to give up for him?

    I love the team as it is and would hate to lose anyone, but just curious what your thoughts would be about acquiring him. I'm assuming that DG and DC would have to be involved.

    DC, 12 1st, 12 2nd, 13 2nd, Lance, Dahntay (filler). Why would they want Danny to backup Durant/Ibaka? However, if they do want Danny, take the 12 first off and slip Danny in that.

    Assuming Danny doesn't leave:
    Westbrook/Hill/Price
    PG/Hill
    Danny/PG
    West/Psycho
    Roy/Jeff

    Assuming Danny leaves:
    Westbrook/Hill
    Hill/PG/Pick in draft
    PG/Pick
    West/Psycho
    Roy/Jeff

    They aren't trading Westbrook.

    From afar, seeing his attitude, not very much, and not enough to actually get him.

    Haven't we seen how "falling in love with talent" can backfire?

    This is the nagging feeling I have as well. As much as this team needs a true superstar, the team concept and unselfishness they play with is very refreshing! I would lean toward a wait and see approach to see if PG becomes that superstar.

    Pass on Westbrook. He is a gunner who cant shoot. Not a pretty combo. Bad attitude as well.

    What the heck is so wrong with this team that so many trade posts are up suggesting we trade away half the team for 1 guy. And some of those guys arent all that good.

    it wouldn't be enough, but the most that I would offer would be DC+two 1st round picks.

    Wouldnt be enough? Bird should be fired if he even considers that. Way over paid with 2 picks. I'd rather keep Collison and the 2 picks.

    Westbrook is a young, ubertalented, second team all-NBA point guard who can score and plays good defense. I agree with the poster you are responding to.

    Then why is he being talked about for a trade possibility? Real good, young, ubertalented, second team all-NBA point guards who can score and play defense dont get traded. If they do - its because they are hurt, aged, or just plain idiots. As much as I would love to see us improve the pg spot. I dont want any of those.

    Yeah I asked J. Michael Falgoust (USA today NBA writer) and he pretty much told me that Westbrook is not going anywhere.

    Indyvnzla81 vnzla81
    @ @jmikeNBAusat Don't u think that OKC should package Westbrook for Howard? that deal makes so much sense for both teams.

    @jmikeNBAusat
    J. Michael Falgoust @Indyvnzla81 Westbrook isn't going anywhere

    @jmikeNBAusat
    J. Michael Falgoust @Indyvnzla81 explain how u trade westbrook 4 howard given 1 guy is still on his rookie deal (Westbrook) & the other will command $18M a year

    Indyvnzla81 vnzla81
    @ @Indyvnzla81 @jmikeNBAusat Perkins 7mil+ Westbrook 6.5+ Mohamed 3.7+ Collison 3.2 should get it done, Maynor,Harden,Durant,Ubaka,Howard?

    @jmikeNBAusat
    J. Michael Falgoust @Indyvnzla81 Won't happen. And maynor is ur only PG.

    Because people love rumors. Because the media loves blowing up this "rift" between him and Durant. As long as the Thunder are winning and a title contender, Westbrook isn't going anywhere. So...he isn't going anywhere.

    If he is not a problem in OKC, no way he gets traded. I agree. If he is available it means he is a troublemaker and I dont want no part of him and you can bet neither will Bird. Now that we have a good "team" here, there is no sense in ruining it by trading for headcases.

    The only reason that he'd be traded ( and I'm not saying that he will be...I'm saying that one OF the possible reasons ) is because he's butting heads with the Franchise Player...not because he's hurt, aged or just an idiot. However, I suspect that there is more to the story of the relationship between KD and Westbrook than just "emotions getting the best of Westbrook". This isn't an isolated incident.

    Butting heads with the franchise player causes you to be traded = IDIOT

    Westbrook must think HE is the franchise player.

    Not any real contenders. Only lottery teams or teams close to the lottery.

    They would want PG & Hibbert & a first at least. So unless we want to blow up our core we don't shouldn't trade for him.

    Who the heck do they think he is: Kevin Durant/Lebron? Only a moron would give up PG, Hibbert, and a first. Thats just plain dumb. He is not that freakin good.

    Fine....whatever....when your top 2 players have issues with each other.....assuming that it's a big enough of a problem between the 2 Players that is affecting the Team....then, sure you start exploring trades that can net you a comprable player. I know that we don't have enough to offer...but netting a Player like DWill or Rajon would make sense in exchange for Westbrook.....this Dwight suggestion makes no sense to me.

    IMHO, Westbrook is more of a Franchise Player then Granger is.....which honestly isn't saying much.

    I love how some players are so overvalued on this board. Westbrook should not be mentioned in the same breath as Dwill or Rajon. They are a clear level above him.

    Westbrook is not just one of their top two players. He is a very distant second. Very distant.

    Collison + Hansbrough + 2 firsts is the minimum to get OKC to even pick up the phone.

    But the important question would be: Who is dumb enough to offer them that kind of package? That would be one of the most lop-sided trades in NBA history. If the OKC GM pulls that off, he should be instantly voted into the HOF and be universally regarded as the greatest GM in the history of the NBA.

    Collison and 1st = Westbrook
    Hansbrough > Westbrook
    2 Firsts >>>>> Westbrook
