    Default Pacers/Raptors postgame thread

Horrible game to watch but at the end of the Day we won the game, Paul George is going to be a beast.

    Go Pacers

That was ugly as **** lockout basketball at its finest the stats are just ridiculous the TO's and what not just really sloppy basketball by both teams.

also if DJones doesn't play another game as a Pacer that would make me happy guy is just hard to watch. I love the energy just wish he would just stay back on defense and we played 4 on 5 on offense

I like the fact that we actually closed this game out with some big shots and a defensive play or 2. That was a problem for us last season.

Darren Collison was clearly upset that some of you would have George Hill take his starting point guard spot. Defense was good, save for that Calderon layup at the end there, and 12 assists is the highest I've seen a Pacer accumulate in some time.

Imagine how good this team will be once they start shooting higher than 40%!

What a fun game to watch! It was ugly at times, but a win is a win.

I love David West's leadership. He is always talking to the guys and I have no doubt that he is such an influence on the rest of the team. I was watching the telecast and Quinn alluded to the fact that even the trainer (name drop) said that D. West was already making an impact on the organization in the short time he's been with the team.

    2-0, squad, 2-0!

By the way, I hope a lot of people (those not considered fans of the Blue and Gold) are watching us on League Pass! Time to make some noise!

People hate on Bieber, but atleast he's supporting the Raptors and not the Lakers like most stars.

Very ugly game indeed, but we're 2-0 AND we closed out the game with clutch shooting. Of course it should not have been necessary due to some questionable calls and Defense in the final minute... But still. Pre-Vogel these were the games we LOST in the final 2 minutes, not stuck out and WON!

    Proud of our boys tonight!

The Lakers are toast. They are in for a long rebuilding process unless they land Howard.

I love that you felt the need to make that statement. Although I think I've seen him at Laker games in purple and gold hat.

so refreshing to see them close it out in the end...Sad to say but I was bracing for another bitter meltdown when we had full control previously...Such a refreshing change and I am so proud of David West and his leadership already...

Also found out another wonderful treat tonight...Im in Illinois but I discovered that I have FSN Indiana on Direct TV so i'll get to see every game...

A great night to be a lifelong Pacers fan and there will be many more to come

Yeah, it was tough to watch. But this looks like a team with a decent amount of talent trying to find its way - strings of really good plays and strings of WTF plays. This time last year, I don't think we hold on to win this game on the road. I know the offense is ugly, but I still agree with Vogel prioritizing defense first - it helps make ugly wins possible instead of shooting well for three quarters and then collapsing at the end due to completely porous defense.

Danny needs to tighten up his shot selection, but I think he will. His defense is clearly better. Darren's defense is clearly better and he displayed more court vision than I am used to seeing from him in a Pacers uni. Paul George, while still very rough around the edges, is better. Roy might be better - not entirely sure on that one. David West is a valuable presence out there. I'm content to ride the ups and downs early and see where this thing goes.

Tuned in the second quarter and really enjoyed this game. The offense is still working the rust off, but I fully believe that will come around in time.

DC had a great game. 10 pts, TWELVE assists, 2 steals, and a +/- of +16.

More balanced scoring with all 5 starters in double figures.

LOVE the energy, and especially the defense.

And David West's leadership and understanding of the game. The clutch shot he hit was more than just a clutch shot. He made that play. From the second they crossed halfcourt, West was yelling and throwing his arms around to get Paul George to clear that side. Then he sets the screen, drops into the open space, and nails the dagger. Without West's leadership on the court, that play doesn't happen and who knows if we still win this one.

Even though Toronto made a good run, there was just a sense of confidence that this team would win. Last year, with about 3 minutes left and the Raptors making a run, we all knew it would be a Pacers loss. Tonight, it just felt like they knew how to win this game.
