Both the Raptors and Pacers won their 1st games by beating poor teams. The Pacers have an advantage over Toronto in 4 of the starting 5 positions. I like Caulderon over Collision at PG. Bargs is a typical Euro big, which means he likes to play on the perimeter, and shots 3's. West will have to guard against this. It will be interesting to see how DWest handles this. I feel Toronto has a good bench, so they can go 5 deep with the Pacers.

Another matchup I'm interested in is PG and DeRozen. That should be interesting. Hibbert had better have his way with Amir Johnson. This is a matchup he should be able to exploit easily. I believe the Pacers bench with Hans and Amundson should be brutal to the Raptors 2nd unit. If the Pacers play "D" and rebound, they should be able to win this game unless their shooting is absolutely terrible.

Keys to success: More looks in the post for Hibbert. Should have been our game plan against Detroit (then our FG% would have been closer to 45), and will work wonders against the miserable Toronto frontcourt.

Also, I hope DWest spent his day in the gym yesterday, practicing those open looks he kept missing agaist Detroit. Once he hits those with the consistency he has shown in the past, and Hibbert gets looks in the post consitently, we will avoid shooting below 40% from the field.
We got a new weapon this time around: a Lance forged on the Isle de Coney, built for piercing trolls and false kings alike! Prince Paul rides with this Lance at hand, from the West fortress on Mt. Hibb. He shall pierce the demon heart of your misguided Cavalier, and he shall claim his crown.

Games like these are why I love Frank Vogel.

Under JOB we likely would have changed ourselves up to matchup with Toronto. Put a jumpshooter on Bargs.

Tonight I bet we'll force the Raptons to matchup with US, and pound the ball into the post over and over again, play to OUR strengths, rather than play to their strengths.

We should own the boards, and let our Post players dominate.

The George/ Derozan matchup should be good fun, and will be a good test for George's defense.

Yeah that's the reason why I like Vogel, he doesn't try to match up with teams.

It's not a big deal, as long as it's close to gametime, it is all good.

For some reason the pacers just can't buy a win in Toronto. Need to jump on them early

Game starts early, how nice. (1:00 am is early for me..)

I think the Derozan/George matchup could be pretty interesting. Derozan is really fast and gets by players easily, but can't shoot and his defense isn't anything special.
I think Granger has a chance to explode, I mean Granger used to explode on teams like Toronto 2-3 years ago. I just hope he does or at least not another 6-20 FG game.
Both Roy and West should have a rebounding advantage over their matchups.

I wonder if the field goal shooting percentage will improve from the 1st two preseason games and game 1 on Monday?

Yeah. I'm hoping the new lady is just trying too hard and will get better.
