Indiana Pacers (1-0) at Toronto Raptors (1-0)
Game #2, Road Game #1
Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ONT
December 28, 2011, 6:00 p.m.
The Pacers' first road trip of 2011-12 takes them north of the border to take on the Toronto Raptors. The Pacers won two of their three games against the Raptors in 2010-11, both of which came at home. Including those two wins last season, the Pacers have won six of the last 10 games in the series with Toronto. However, since winning all of the first 13 games in the series with the Raptors, Indiana has won just 24 of the last 47 meetings. With a win in next week's game, the Pacers will have leveled its all-time road record in Toronto at 15-15, and it will have ended a five-game losing streak in Air Canada Centre.
Indiana returns home on Friday to battle Central Division rival Cleveland. The Pacers and Cavs meet four times this season with two games at Bankers Life Fieldhouse bracketing two games at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. The two teams will play a home-and-home series toward the end of the season, with a game at the Fieldhouse on April 13 following a matchup on the road taking place two days before. The Pacers head into Friday's game with the Cavs having won five in a row in the series and holding a 49-30 edge all-time.
Prior to the current winning streak, the Pacers had won just two of their previous 18 meetings with Cleveland. While the Pacers have won three straight against the Cavs in Indiana, their current two-game winning streak at Quicken Loans Arena is their longest since winning four in a row that spanned 2002 and 2003. Since going 2-7 in their first nine appearances in Quicken Loans Arena, the Pacers won 10 straight games on the Cavs' home floor. But, Indiana has won just four of its last 15 games there.
