I don't think Nick Young is a ball-hog at all. Certainly not since Flip Saunders started coaching the Wizards. It was one of the best things to happen for Young, as with that offense he has no ball-handling responsibilities at all. How can you dominate the ball if you don't have it? He's a blackhole in the sense he's a finisher (a shot-hog) - he rarely passes the ball. But he doesn't dominate it either, he's a low usage player in terms of time spent on the ball.
I was very happy when Young decided to play on the qualifying offer. I'd like to see Ainge going after him next year. I think he could do very well playing next to Rondo. Very good complimentary piece, a high-scoring role-player. And Rondo's decision-making can masquerade Young's problems with shot-selection. I also like Nick Young's defense. Still a little dumb, poor team defender, but a good 1x1 defender.
As for players who keep the ball on their hands a lot, Chris Paul is basically impossible to beat.
As for those annoying ball-stoppers a la Dahntay Jones, Michael Beasley and Corey Maggette can be very difficult to watch.
