    Default NFL Week 8 Discussion

Let's forget about the Colts futility--or at least try--for the moment. Take in other NFL action, say Pittsburgh/New England. Yes, that does help a bit.

Roethlisberger is crazy good, but he is helped by the fact Pittsburgh is a solid team in all phases. The Steelers are a contending team.

Take me out to the black, tell 'em I ain't coming back. Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.

I think the Cardinals could beat them by 60 at this rate...

Pats getting killed, but they are really screwed with injuries right now

Who cares? Good teams find ways to win when the injury bug hits. The Steelers lost Tommy Maddox, and look what our team is accomplishing.

    GO STEELERS!

It's so reminiscent of the way Tom Brady's big break season went...

    Roethlisberger is better than Maddox.

As far as the Pats losing, geez, who would have thought that having both your starting CBs, your starting RB, #1 WR out and losing your LOT at the most critical juncture of the game would be a bad thing? I'm no Pats fan and I'm not here to make excuses for them, but I wouldn't take too much from this game. They are hurting worse than our Pacers right now.

Those injuries didn't have anything to do with the takeaways and the pressue the Steel Curtain put on Brady all game long. Joey Porter was far-and-away the best player on the field, and besides, Dick LeBeau's defense was missing two very important starters (Hampton and Scott - Scott not because he's any good but because his backup is Willie Willams and he's always sucked.) so I don't want to hear about injuries, period.

Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you
