Kind of feel sorry for full season ticket holders. The "honey-do list" is going to stack up.

I'm glad I should be able to make the home opener now.

15 of the first 22 on the road, if I read it right. Yikes.
I'm actually pretty happy about this. We played a lot worse on the road last season than we did at home (record and 7 or 8 points per game on average). This along with the three back(2back)^2 games will set a quick learning curve for our maturing group.

    Pacers aren't rooting for that.
That's ok, we will see the Lakers seven times in the Finals.

With Detroit twice, Cleveland, Toronto and New Jersey rounding out our first five games... we could easily be 4-1 or 5-0 going in to Miami.

    I'm excited.

I'd rather have 8,000-10,000 Laker fans than 8,000-10,000 empty seats. It's a lot more fun when it actually feels somewhat alive in the building.
2 years ago my seats were down near the visitors bench. And I learned that this statement is NOT NO WAY NO HOW NEVER TRUE.

There is nothing more horrible than being surrounded by nothing but fans screaming Beatles-fan style for Dwight, Kobe, Lebron, etc.

I'll take the empty space to put my coat and the comfort that the people in the building are my friends or could-be friends only.

For some reason the schedule release flipped my switch from "meh, lockout, time to hibernate the fandom" to "nothing matters but BnG" mode. I mean I was interested and getting back in the swing here at PD, but holy smokes now. You can taste the games, you can smell the popcorn and beer, you can hear the squeeks and swishes.

Oh baby, and we even have a reasonable, quality coach who at least tries to use his roster to their strengths. Even if they don't win I still think it's going to be a lot more interesting to watch, and right now it seems like they will be winning.

No kidding. What if the Pacers are competitive at that point too? What if they've added a Nene or West name to the roster?

Plus, since we won't have a Florida team in the SB, it's possible that most of the out of towners might actually jump on the Pacers wagon for one night.

Think of what could have been - Celtics in town that night...ooh boy, that could've been horrible. Or even the Bucks. You wouldn't see the court for all the cheese.

This game should get nationally televised by either ESPN or ABC.

We also have so many home games late because a lot of arenas have to deal with late season/playoff hockey that we don't.

I've been to quite a few Magic games in recent seasons and haven't had any problem with Magic fans, but the Lakers games are just horrible. At least with the Bulls crowd you know most of those folks are probably from Chicago. But the Tuesday evening regular season Lakers game brings out exactly the kind of d-bag I can't stand. Didn't help that we weren't competitive in that game last season. So I'd rather sit next to nobody, unless we're blowing them out.

Just one regular season game against Chicago here. At least it is mid-week. Which means the influx of out-of-towners should be at a minimum. It is also the last game of the regular season. Nice season finale that may actually mean something to one or both teams.

Well 2 years ago the night Roy got him in foul trouble it was pretty rowdy, but thanks to Roy it kind of turned on DH and Pacers fans started razzing him instead. Last year I was sitting next to the Pacers bench listening to JOB tell Paul George he was clueless. That was definitely the worse of the two experiences...but only for a few days.

I swear with guys like Kobe and Lebron fans show up that think they are talking to them through their television or something.

OTOH, last year when Gnome and I (and spouses) were in Houston there was a fan behind the Pacers bench with a framed, canvas painting of Tyler. I mean like 3' x 4' normal wall hanging style. The guards were like "WTF to we do about this". So thanks to Tyler we have our own "brings out the nutjobs" guy to help return the favor.

Plus without a doubt Larry can still pull them in easily..."remember that time you told me to buy a cheeseburger from McDs and I did and now we're friends, right?"

One thing Scot P forgot to mention about the home opener is...

ing DETROIT right in their until the is and looks like

One of those words may or may not be (Rick) Santorum.

Unfortunately, by the looks of it we will NOT have any games nationally televised by ESPN or ABC.

On NBA TV they showed a graphic listing both channel's nationally televised games and the words Indiana nor Pacer were there... *sigh*

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

Tipping off at the exact same moment as IU @ Purdue. Seems like a single phone call could make an awful lot of Indiana BBall fans happy with a simple time change...

...says the guy with tickets for one game but would make the effort to catch both...

Pacers have the most B2Bs (24) of any team. Sigh. At least they aren't the most B2Bs on the road.
