    Lightbulb NBA Schedule Announced Tonight

Just a heads-up. Full schedules announced tonight at 7PM on NBA TV.

NBA Schedule Release Planned For Tuesday On NBA TV - SBNation.com

The NBA schedule release date typically isn't the most newsworthy event. Considering basketball fans have been waiting to watch basketball since the NBA Finals ended last season, and then it was delayed by the lockout, this year's announcement is rather highly-anticipated.

The schedule will be released at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night in a special being aired on NBA TV, according to the station's schedule. It will be discussed on the program NBA GameTime.

This year's NBA schedule will be truncated due to the NBA lockout as it will feature just 66 games, instead of the usual 82, and is scheduled to begin on Dec. 25. Provided the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the NBA has released further details about how the schedule will break down.
Teams will play out-of-conference opponents at least once each, with three teams getting a second meeting. Of the other 12 out-of-conference opponents, six will be faced at home and six on the road. Given the NBA's strong home-court advantage, this could be a real impact in the standings.

The other 48 games will be played within the conference.
Stay tuned to this StoryStream for all games announced prior to the official release date -- including the NBA Christmas game schedule.

No home game with the Lakers. Sucks for us as fans and for the Pacers' bottomline.

It may help our win/loss record but the lack of a guaranteed sellout is a steep price to pay.

Speak for yourself. I take great joy in knowing there won't be 8,000 Laker fans at Conseco this year.

I'd rather have 8,000-10,000 Laker fans than 8,000-10,000 empty seats. It's a lot more fun when it actually feels somewhat alive in the building.

2 years ago my seats were down near the visitors bench. And I learned that this statement is NOT NO WAY NO HOW NEVER TRUE.

There is nothing more horrible than being surrounded by nothing but fans screaming Beatles-fan style for Dwight, Kobe, Lebron, etc.

I'll take the empty space to put my coat and the comfort that the people in the building are my friends or could-be friends only.

For some reason the schedule release flipped my switch from "meh, lockout, time to hibernate the fandom" to "nothing matters but BnG" mode. I mean I was interested and getting back in the swing here at PD, but holy smokes now. You can taste the games, you can smell the popcorn and beer, you can hear the squeeks and swishes.

Oh baby, and we even have a reasonable, quality coach who at least tries to use his roster to their strengths. Even if they don't win I still think it's going to be a lot more interesting to watch, and right now it seems like they will be winning.

I've been to quite a few Magic games in recent seasons and haven't had any problem with Magic fans, but the Lakers games are just horrible. At least with the Bulls crowd you know most of those folks are probably from Chicago. But the Tuesday evening regular season Lakers game brings out exactly the kind of d-bag I can't stand. Didn't help that we weren't competitive in that game last season. So I'd rather sit next to nobody, unless we're blowing them out.

About time we start winning fans back on our own merit. A good record, a clean slate, and a winless colts season are all we need to restore fan interest. This is a golden opportunity.

What did you read that said the Pacers won't play the Lakers in CFH? It's still a possibility because the Pacers will play 18 games against 12 western conference teams and 6 of those teams they'll play twice.

From Lakers beat reporter. Phoenix beat guy says we won't be going to Phoenix.

And, it's official...Lakers play only one set of back-to-back-to-backs this season. They're lucky. Some teams have 3 back-to-back-to-backs.

Thats all fine and dandy as long as we get 3 or 4 or 5 games during the week and a half leading up to the super bowl! That will be sweet!

A back-to-back on the road where you don't have to travel between games? Not their top choice but certainly a better road back-to-back than almost any other.

This is going to be a long season if our boys can't handle a back to back in the same arena.

That's ok, we will see the Lakers seven times in the Finals.

I'm looking forward to better crowds at CFH anyway.

Much less empty seats on average.

Hopefully outside of the home opener, we'll get one or two more sellouts for the Pacers and not when bandwagoners come.

That first one isn't going to be too bad. Miami will be on the last game of their one back-to-back-to-back.

Our home games against Charlotte on Jan 7, Orlando on Feb 4, and Denver on Feb 11 are on NBATV.
