    Default Mr. Ex Kim Kardashian

Would anybody want Kris Humphries to start a PF for us? He averaged 10 pts and 10 rebounds last year. He should be able to bang inside for us.

I am not sure I want him or not just throwing it out there. If we could sign him for a reasonable contract he might be worth a shot. He measured 6 '9.5", so he is just about 6' 10".

He might not be a bad consolation price if don't get Nene.

Yea, I would take him over Landry. Landry doesn't rebound. Landry would score more but, we don't need a lot of scoring from our PF spot.

I would just hate to see his FACE on the Pacers. LOL Whenever I'm channel surfing and that Kardashian show appears I can't change the channel fast enough. I so tired of those "staged" reality shows.

That would trigger a major buzz in Indy.

I don't really want him anyway.

My concern is how will being on the rebound affect his rebounding?

    B-Man

would you rank nene over david west as a bigger catch in free agency? if you were the pacers and the nets, who would you go after more. and how far off is kris humphries in the list of top free agent bigs?

    Mark Nugent

Definitely, West’s injury and age scare me. I’d go after Nene, but I wouldn’t offer him a max deal. I’d offer like four years and 50 million, which is a far cray for the 75 million someone will offer.

For West I’d offer 4 years and 40 million. I think he is worth that risk, but I’d be real hesitant to go any higher for a PF coming off a major knee injury on the downside of his career.

Humphries is pretty far down. he’s a tremendous rebounder, but his D is pretty average and his offensive game is raw to say the least. Anything over 7 million per season is waaay overpaying
    .

    B-Man

if nene isnt brought back like i believe is in the nuggets’ best interest, who do you feel will get the starting spot at center, mozgov, chris anderson, or some other free agent signing?

    Mark Nugent

I think Mozgov. He has the most upside. The latest rumor though is if the Nuggets offer a max contract (which I think is insane for Nene) he will take it and remain a Nugget.

I wouldn't mind having Humphries on the team for his rebounding, but he shouldn't start over Hansbrough. Tyler is a better player.

Humphries seems more of a backup. Not an answer to a team's starting PF spot.

This.....CooperManning and I have been suggesting Mr. Kardashian for the longest time. I'd rather have Humphries over Landry...who IMHO is more like a version of Foster that ( unfortunately ) thinks he has an offensive game. He rebounds and could do all the dirty work.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

I'd love to have Hump here as our starting PF for the next couple of years... right now, I think Tyler's best role is the primary scorer on our second unit.

I guess I'm a bit puzzled. Landry has averaged in double figures for the last several years, and has always shot above 50%.

Wouldn't that imply that he has at least some semblance of an offensive game? Either that, or he is very good at put backs or has some discipline regarding the shots he chooses to take?

With that said, I do believe that Humphries is probably a better player for us than Landry. But I do not believe that if other options fall through, or that the Pacers decide to go cheaper, that Landry is a bad selection.

Is he really a cut above Hansbrough? If the player brought in is not clearly better than Tyler, I'd say stick with Tyler. Kris Kardashian over Tyler would make me feel like:

If the Nuggets offer Nene the max, he'd stick around? Yeah, I'd say that's a no-brainer.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

If he had been a consistant double double guy, which he hasn't, it makes me wonder if it's a contract year type season.

I wasn't talking about double-figures from scoring...but from the rebounding end. Landry is ( by far ) the better offensive scoring Player...no doubt....as I said....Humphries is a Foster like Player that rebounds and likely gets his scoring off of put backs. Humphries' a garbage man when it comes to scoring.

Humphries also has a pretty solid mid-range shot. I would definitely sign him as our starter if his asking price wasn't going to be so high. I'm guessing he'll get close to $10M/year.
