Default The new and improved shot clock

I meant to comment on this the other day when I saw it brought up on Twitter but forgot.

Did anyone else catch that this season will be the first in NBA history to feature a shot clock that will display tenths of a second?

Apparently it will only show whole numbers from 24 to 6, then starting at 5 seconds it will show tenths of a second as well to give a more accurate indicator. I'm curious to check it out, and I like the idea.

I wonder if it will actually kick in at 5.9 rather than 5.0. I'd assume so.

Sorry I don't have a source in front of me to paste, but I can't be the only one who saw that, and I'm 100% sure that I did.

I believe I saw that, but I don't think it's been finalized, I think its just an idea at this point.

I believe I read somewhere a couple weeks ago about a 30 second clock being considered. I doubt that ever comes to fruitition though.

    That'd make me happy.

30 second clock? No way. You think the playoffs are full of slugfests with scores in the 70's now? Put in a longer shot clock and I guarantee someone would come in under 60.

Why would it not show tenths from 9.9 on downward?

Why not just make 10 louder? ;-)

NBA needs a 30sec shot clock. Quickest and best way to improve the game imo.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the game itself imo.
