Paul George guarded Derrick Rose in the playoffs. It doesn't mean we should make Paul George our point guard. But hey, matchups says he can!

Funny, because the same camp who says there is a massive difference between the two big men positions on the court are also the same people arguing Paul George isn't a shooting guard. Because he's 6'8. lol And most players that tall are generally small forwards.

Someone mentioned New Orleans as picking up Billups. I'm not sure what their cap space is after their Paul deal, but if they could land him, they'd have an old-but-interesting-looking team heading into the season:

    Chauncey Billups
    Kevin Martin
    Trevor Ariza
    Luis Scola
    Emeka Okafor

I'd try to resign Carl Landry to pair with Jarrett Jack and whatever they get from Boston off the bench.
What's the time period to make bids? 5 minutes.

I doubt that all this can happen that soon.

    Damn guys!

I thought we quit arguing about Bynum years ago when all the Laker trolls were coming to this board.

I don't know who's arguing that, but it's a stupid argument. Paul can play 2/3 because he's quick enough to do so.

Bynum and Hibbert can't play PF. Well, I guess they could. But they would be horrible.

I'm done arguing this. I wanna stop clogging this thread.

Sorry I can't drop it. I mean as ridiculous as it is, Kstat would argue until he's blue in the face that Bynum couldn't play center... if he had been labeled a PF his entire career. Done deal. "Bynum can't play center... he's a PF"

    Defies logic.

Bynum can't stay out of foul trouble as it is. Venturing more than 2 feet away from the rim would result in about 50 flagrant fouls.

From the sounds of it Billups wont play for a crappy team. I think it is the Heat,Lakers or bust for him. He wants to play on a good team and start,he feels he is still on of the top PG in the game.

That entire post defies logic. I never said any of those things. In fact, I said the exact opposite of those things....

    Now to other rumors...

Wasn't sure this was posted before, but Pietrus failed his physical and Toronto has called off their trade with the Suns.

    http://tucsoncitizen.com/sports-news...rs-called-off/

This trade was a salary dump intended to keep the Suns out of the tax. Now, they're a bit stuck - they've already committed to a bunch of signings (Grant Hill, Shannon Brown, Telfair) and Pietrus was their easiest contract to move. Heck, they can't even rescind their qualifying offer to Aaron Brooks because of the new rule guaranteeing Q.O.s. Could be an opportunity for a cap space team to benefit from the Suns.

All amnestied players go on eBay for seven-days. If no one bids of them or uses the "Buy It Now" option by the end of those seven-days, they become free agents.

He doesn't play center because he's been labeled a center. He's been labeled center his whole career...BECAUSE HE'S A CENTER. Not a PF/C combo like Gasol, Duncan, etc. He has the necessary size but not the quickness of a PF. So he's a center. He's been labeled correctly his whole career by people who know and who have eyes.

OK. Done for real this time.

Bynum has only played in 67% of the games throughout his career... to me he is way overrated.

Only a stacked team can afford one of their star caliber players to miss a third of their games...

Did Bird take Pritchard's phone away from him? These are the type deals Pritchard use to get.

This is foolishness. Why do these guys feel like they should be able to dictate where they play. Free agency is one thing, but this is another. This league has just become soft imo, all of these players looking for the shortcut to a championship.

We made our stride last year ... so it seems that its the league's turn to leave us behind again !

yes he is he is worth it basically another Jeff Foster.

his contract was being paid all we had to pay of his contract is 1m dollars really stupid we didn't get involved in this trade. Larry said he would wait for these types of deals. He would of been in the rotation this year and would of helped.

Bird probably had his phone turned off while watching the 1st days practice.

Memphis signs Jeremy Pargo, who was all-Euroleague Second team after leading Maccabi Tel Aviv to the Final Four.

    Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA

Jeremy Pargo has signed a two year deal with Memphis, his agent Brad Ames tells Y! Sports. He played for Maccabi Tel-Aviv last season.
    Is McCalebb next?
