Something this board lacks is optimism and considering the fact that we haven't done anything yet and already have a decent group.

    We'll see......
I'm just saying it seems like we are being passed by I agree it's a heck of a group of guys we have but if we can't get some kind of move a (smart one) I just don't know if their lucky enough to get in the postseason again

    PG Fredette-Thornton
    SG Evans-Salmons
    SF Kirilenko-Greene
    PF Cousins-Hickson
    C Hayes-Thompson

The Kings look like they can become decent. It'll take maturity and good coaching. Something they've lacked.

They still don't have a "pure" PG, but decent ones to play it nonetheless.

I don't think Paul Westphal will make it the whole season.

Keep in mind, it had a lot to do with Jim O'Brien as the coach.

I know it sounds like an unintelligent answer because we didn't like him, but in all honestly he was the reason we were below .500. It was a mess with him as the coach. Playing the wrong players and just the fact that he was terrible. From time to time, I seriously thought he was losing his marbles.

Frank took over and had a record over .500 and this team is going to be better than last season for sure. Between the improvement of our guys and ability to bring in more pieces.

That doesn't really fly. No point in waiting if your #1 choice is already open for you.
For all we know Nene's waiting on teams to make their final offers. Reports are the Nets have been adjusting their offer to him... what makes you think other teams wouldn't be, too?

He has no need to rush into signing a deal anywhere as long as teams are bidding against each other, raising his value.

That's your opinion but you can't know that.
I think Denver is on the bottom of his list and he's waiting to see what the highest firm offers he can field from other teams are?
Or.......he is still a bit peeved at them, and just wants to see them squirm a little.

unless they play with 3 basketballs they arent gonna be very good. Lots of talent but they have too many ball dominate players. IMO

But AK47 and Hayes would help because they are low usage players who defend.

    Yes.

It'll be tough to build chemistry since many of them are heavy on the offense. Many lack defense.

Which is why I think Paul Westphal will be out the door sometime during the season.

No, because both NJ and Houston are in flux and cannot as of now offer him a contract. He can sign one with the Pacers or Nuggets at any point, so it's logical to assume neither of them are his first choice.

If it comes down between the Pacers and Denver, what kind of a team can Denver offer him to play with this year? Where as the Pacers has a nice young core of players. If it's only about the money, he will chose Denver over the Pacers.

I read a nice report earlier where Battier said he had it down to 4 teams... AND the Pacers were one of them. Even thou he's going to Miami, it's nice to know Bird had an interest, and had the Pacers in the running.

I'm actually surprised Battier went to Miami.

He always struck me as someone who wanted to lead a young team and not get sucked into teams like the Heat.

He would've fit in nicely with us. Playing a similar role to the one he played with Memphis.

If Nene had the Pacers as his first choice, he wouldn't be waiting to see what else is out there. That's why they call it a first choice.

The only reason for him to wait is because his first and second choices are in the process of shaking up their rosters.

If Houston and NJ are both out of the mix, then maybe Indiana could be #3 on his list, but I;m not so sure.
You are right about NJ being his probable first choice, but just because Houston is in flux too, doesn't mean they are Nene's second choice. It appears he's going to whomever gives him the most money. How much can Houston afford after getting Gasol is the question.

Every player in the NBA would like to play for Miami or LA. The weather is great during the season and every game is an event. Not to mention the women and the night clubs. Its like those teams play in another league. Remember, LeBron took his talents to South Beach. The Heat don't even play in South Beach (AAA is 5.5 miles from Miami Beach), but apparently LeBron plays his best games there. In Indiana, it is cold all season and the Fieldhouse is half empty unless the Lakers or Miami come to town.

Yeah, I saw that on Google Maps. So he could swim from the bar to the game? Or would the Yacht be the better choice? The point is that he didn't go there to play basketball, but rather to party with his friends. The basketball is the job that pays for the parties. And I can't blame any of them. If I was young, rich and incredibly talented, I would want all that too. But I'm not, so I'm bitter about it. Its on the league to stop it, and they seem unable to do that.

He could walk. There's lots of stuff on that side of the bridge though. He could go to Space. It doesn't close until 2pm the next day.

Bulls want Dwight and they can probably put the best package together they have a lot of picks and a talented euro over seas as trade bait lol. They have the Charlotte pick in a few years as well. I bet if they agree to take him without an extension thats where he goes.

also says Rip Hamilton is pretty much a lock to go to Chicago.

Deandre Jordan signs 4yr 40m dollar offer sheet I hope it gets matched. that is a bad contract IMO unless he is playing with Blake.

That's too much for Jordan IMO but I hope the Clippers match it so we can help them by taking some salary off their hands in trading Posey for Kaman.
