All I can say is that whenever I hear Frank Vogel speak I feel as though we can move mountains and that LeBron best step to the side lest he be run over by the Pacers train.

Then I go look at our roster and come back down to reality.

But you know what, reality isn't what it used to be. Now I have some faith, now I believe that there is a direction, now I believe we are going to be competative.

My God it has been so long that I don't even know what it feels like to be like this again. In fact I'm not ever sure that I've ever known what it was like to be like this as when we were really good back in the 90's we were a veteran team.

Either way it's going to be fun.

    I'm happy for Frank.

He loves his job, the players love him, we love him, he's a great person, and more importantly a great coach.

I seriously cannot tell you guys how excited I am about this season!

Can't wait to hear what he has to say, the man is definitely a great motivator. I'm excited for the season to start!

Wouldn't that mean Paul George then? Especially if he's calling guys by their last name.
    I misstyped, that's what I meant.

When he was just our assistant coach.

I stated it before the interview

I dont care he is a pretty bad interviewer in general not just with Vogel and not just today. Sports talk radio sucks in Indy time to listen to Harmon Jurko and Harry on ESPN chicago.
who cares I would gladly be called an idiot if it got me a shout out on the radio

plus he is a duche bag anyway

I really have liked everything from Frank thus far. With that said, I'm dreading when he inevitably starts to do one thing or another that some don't agree with, and the tide starts to turn as it does against EVERY head coach. That'll be a sad stretch of time.

But I'll gladly keep defending him if I think he deserves it.

That's why they need to re-start the coach's show. Frank on the radio for an hour every week would sell some tickets.

Come on, Pacers and @1070thefan. Get it done.

I said it once, and I'll say it again:

Nobody wants to compete against the Frank Vogel show. NOBODY!
"Nobody wants to play against Tyler Hansbrough NO BODY!" ~ Frank Vogel

"And David put his hand in the bag and took out a stone and slung it. And it struck the Philistine on the head and he fell to the ground. Amen. "

The Frank Vogel show would be 10,000 times better than the JOB show, that show was horrible, all Jim talked about was about stretching the floor and shooting threes

This is a very good point and we know the honeymoon will end soon. However, did the tide actually turn with Carlisle? I suppose I heard the screeching, but I never stopped supporting him and I felt he retained a solid following.

Fun fact: RC is one of only 11 people in history who won an NBA championship as both a coach and player.

I think it definitely turned on him by 2007. Not nearly as hateful as it got with JOB, but nonetheless the majority seemed ready to see him leave.

Yeah, but I think that had more to do with the product on the floor. It's just the nature of sports for people to question the coach, and it always gets worse the longer he sticks around. I don't expect it to get anywhere NEAR as bad as it did with JOB, but if fans get bothered by too many losses and/or the decisions made by Frank, things will sour at least a little bit.

That I understand, definitely. I just am not waiting for the shoe to drop, I guess. I think he's going to have this team going good for a long time.

At this point, however, Frank Vogel could tell me my name is Sergio, that I'm right-handed, and that Indian Food tastes better than Pizza and I'd believe him.

You obviously saw Mike Wells busting my chops on twitter didn't you.

Yea, he is going to make some mistakes but at the end of the day I have a very strong belief that fans will turn on the players before they turn on Frank.

Unless he really does a 180 and has our fours be stretch fours and not let our point guards handle the ball I think people in Indiana and fans around the world for that matter know what has been wrong with our club for the past few seasons and smash mouth basketball wasn't it.

Plus he doesn't come across as a smug, superior, cocky, blowhard douchebag like you know who did.

If anything Frank may be to nice but I'll be more than happy to live with that.

You know though now that I think about it he keeps his hair very short and if you look at those sideburns they appear a little lighter in color than the top of his head.

Frank is just a stand-up dude. You-know-who would've never bought a couple random Pacers fans a round at a bar. Frank did.

I find that really hard to believe. Unless you're talking about Isiah, in which case I'd believe it because he probably had one too many of those when he was Knicks GM.

He dissed on Pacer4Ever the whole show, but it was kinda funny. You live, you learn not to call out radio hosts - right Coach?
