OK, DC-Hibbert for Rondo is a steal, and now you want Jeff Green too? It's my bed time, this place is getting nuts already.

BTW, Green is a free agent.
Doesn't look like they are keeping Green and I think we could do a sign and trade I think.

Edit: If Danny gets move, Green could be a nice replacement.

You know why I wouldn't do a Danny for Rondo/Glen Davis trade while Boston gets CP3 and New Orleans gets Danny?

Because if Danny is the key piece to getting Chris Paul, we should get Chris Paul. I'm not going to give Danny to Boston so we can get their PG they're replacing for Chris Paul. It doesn't make any sense. Glen Davis doesn't bridge the gap.

If we could somehow land Rondo in a Hibbert + Collison + 1st package while ALSO signing one of the free agent 5s, we'd obviously have to do it.
Maybe cuz CP3 won't sign an extension to come play in Indy?

It looks to me like Danny could go to another team for more pieces(from NO)

This signing period is like Christmas where there is a lot of stuff on your wish list but you're not sure if you are going to get any of it. Will be interesting to see how the final roster pans out this year.

Rondo + Glenn Davis for Danny, no thanks
Rondo + Jeff Green for Danny, you have my attention

Still prefer a 3-way trade with NO where we keep Danny though

AT BEST ( if we were lucky ), it would be Granger for Rondo...straight up.

Granger is good and a capable scorer....but he doesn't have anywhere near the trade value that you think he does.

IF you could land Rondo while giving up a 1st+DC+Hansbrough+TPE.....even if it means sending CP3 to the Celtics...you do it.

But my guess is that it would cost us either Hibbert ( if it's just a straight up trade between the Celtics and the Pacers...which IMHO is unlikely ) or PG ( if it's a 3-way Trade with the Hornets )...NOT Hansbrough.

I'm with coopermanning on this though, if it end up being Granger that is the piece that puts it over the hump why not give Boston a solid tasting of your middle finger wait for him to hit free agency and you lost absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I'm sorry but I don't see gutting our team for someone who can't shoot and had 3 future HOF'ers around him to play with so he could rack up those assists. If I had pierce garnett and allen to throw the ball to I probably could average 8 assists a game.

I don't like the idea of trading a 7ft emerging allstar caliber center.

    Related info:

    http://twitter.com/#!/Chris_Broussard

Boston offered Rondo & Jeff Green to OKC for Westbrook & KPerkins after last season's playoffs. OKC was not interested, sources say.
This brings up an interesting point...it not a concern....the Celtics really are looking to move Rondo...something that they have been doing since the end of their season.

Despite his skills.....you have to wonder what is wrong with Rondo IF they are looking to move him and have been trying to do so for quite some time now.

    Granger to NOLA
    Rondo to Indy
    CP3 to Boston

Main pieces, fill in other pieces including say DC2 back to NOLA.
    Here we come lottery?

That's debatable. I hope you are right but that's still way up in the air.

If it was just for we get Rondo, Hornets get Granger, and Boston gets CP3 I could probably tolerate that, but absolutely not gutting our young core for that.

Yeah u do u end up losing a top 25 player in the league. Top 5 pg, number 4 behind Paul Williams and rose.... And u be a significantly better to now and in the future while getting younger in the process. Many say we needed someone to guard Ross in the playoff well he's in our division so if we stay put what's going to happen...THE SAME THING! rondo can guard rose and pg can shut down whoever else... We win! Also we would make the east harder for the Miami Chokes I mean Heat!

Boston won't want Granger. I'm not so sure NO does either. I still think NO will go for young, cheap promising players to keep costs low. I think its why they don't want Rondo too. He will be getting paid sooner than later.

If Granger is involved, I doubt the third team is NO. Obviously we need to make a strong play at too, he's a top 5 PG, maybe the best defensive PG. He is a terrible shooter though. Yes he is that bad at shooting. But he is a game changer and would be great to gaurd Rose

I love Hibbert and think he will be pretty good, but he wont ever be on rondo's level.

The only valid argument that I can come up with is that maybe ( and I'm stretching here ) Rondo has to be either the "Alpha Dog" or the "2nd in command" on the Team in order to be effective ( or at least believes he should be ). I can see someone that thinks that he should be the "Alpha Dog" or the "2nd in Command" could have problems or even clash with Teammates that have with bigger egos such as the Big Douche or Pierce. He think that he should be a leader on a Team full of Leaders ( that also happen to be douches as well ).

Going to a Team like the Pacers where he would clearly be one of the top 2 Players ( if not the "Alpha Dog" ) could be a good thing.

It's just a theory....but that is what I will try to convince myself IF such a trade happens.

Then it's not going to happen.

The Hornets don't want Granger or Rondo and want to rebuild while looking for young assets in return.

There are 27 other teams in the league. If this trade goes down, I don't see NO being the third team.

I can live with that besides why not just outbid the Celtics when free agency rolls around? Then we can have Chris Paul it's not like we have all that long to wait.

    You mean for CP3?
Not sure we can outbid New York and the already established core of Melo and Amar'e. Paul seems to really have his sights on NYC

Cuz CP3 is going to get paid wherever he goes and he's not going to choose to come to Indy...even if we offer him the MAX.

As bkk and everyone suggests....CP3 will end up on the Knicks if he has the choice.

Count me out. I'm not in favor of trading Hibbert, Collison, and future picks for a point guard that defenses can give 10 feet of space to shoot. Teams can just clog the paint against us then, especially if we ship Hibbert and have no inside presence. We don't have Ray Allen, Paul Pierce or Kevin Garnett to keep the defense honest. Nene is not coming here.

Want defense on Rose? Paul George did a pretty good job. Plus we've got George Hill now. You know, he's pretty good at defense too, if that's what you want. We were only slightly better play from Roy and a couple missed threes from Korver from really giving the Bulls a scare.

Keep the young core we've built and look towards next year's free agency. Rondo is good, but he's not that good, especially if you take him off the Celtics. Not to mention, I don't want to mess with this chemistry. The guys fight for Frank. I don't want Rondo coming in here and potentially being a problem.
