Don't like that deal at all to be honest.

Well the Twitter universe is trippin. Glen Davis is a free agent, how can they trade him?

Yea I like it of we don't have to give up granger I'd ship tyler, dc, a1st round pick and posey new orleans gets 2 good young guys possibly a 3rd with the pick and an expiring contract then we are more attractive to free agent pf's sign landry and west and we're laughing

I will personally transport Hans and all of his family if it means Rondo. Thats not even something you blink at. DC, Hans and a 2013 pick? Uhh, yes please.

PG though, no. But granger also might be a no brainer.

You don't like trading Danny Granger for Davis and Rondo?

I feel like this is some cruel joke and you all are in it and I just don't see thee punchline in it.

You do ANYTHING to get Rondo that doesn't include Paul George and hopefully not our 2012 pick.
I just have a hard time giving up our leading scorer for a guy who doesn't score...

PG isn't confident enough (yet) to handle a scoring load. Neither is Hibbert.

Hill isn't exactly a scoring machine. Neither is Hansbrough, or anyone for that matter.

So I just have a hard time seeing the value of trading your scorer for a guy who doesn't score, to team with other guys who aren't big time scoreres (Phew, that's a lot to digest).

Hibb/free agent pick up back up c
    West/landry
    Granger/george/jones
    George/hill/stephenson
    Rondo/hill/price/stephenson

    That team dominates

Like I said before the Celtics need a center and might want Hibbert, I think the deal is Hibbert+DC for Rondo and somebody else, maybe Green?

Edit: and then the Pacers turn around and get Nene, Gasol or even Chandler.

    Question (This might be stupid)

Can teams "Agree in principle" or have an "Verbal agreement" in regards to trades? I know they can't when it comes to FA's, but how about trades?

I honestly don't see a reason for Boston or NO to want Danny. If New Orleans trades Paul they've got to be in for a rebuild. Let West walk, and get a bunch of young assets for Paul. Danny'd be the 6th man in Boston, that ain't worth Rondo.

Not even to mention the money. It's not what Boston would want from us, it's what the Hornets would.

Honestly having Rondo might be enough to talk someone like Dwight into Indy as well. The icing on the cake would be if we also made a Hibbert for Josh Smith swap.

OK, I'm getting carried away but its 2am and I'm excited but indulge me here:

    Rondo
    George Hill
    Paul George
    Josh Smith
    Dwight Howard

That is the best defensive starting 5 I have ever, EVER seen.

Ok, ok. Serenity now. Serenity now.

Highly doubt it happens, but there's really only two pgs I'd rather have than Rondo (Paul and Rose). One thing overlooked about Rondo's game, is he may very well be the best rebounding guard in the league. Also, for all this talk about his horrible shooting, Rondo rarely takes bad shots. I'd much rather have a 50% shooting pg who understands his limitations, than an Iverson or Westbrook type who jack up 20 shots a game while struggling to hit 40%.
Totally agree, Rondo is my ideal PG. He isn't a completely terrible shooter... He can't be worse than TJ at long range.. but one of the reasons he struggles is he has HUGE freakin hands. But that also helps him with the other stuff like dribbling, passing, leading the league in steals, rebounding etc..

This would be an epic start to the season.

Why would the Celtics or the Hornets want Granger?

For the Celtics....unless a 4th Team could be included to take on Granger while sending back some assets that the Celtics could use.....why would the Celtics want Granger in the 1st place when they have Pierce at the SF spot?

For the Hornets....they don't want Rondo cuz they are rebuilding....so why would they want Granger who has a bigger contract?

If you are able to get Rondo to the Pacers and the Celtics/Hornets DO NOT WANT Granger....than either Team will want the MOST VALUABLE assets that the Pacers have....a 1st Round Pick AND either PG or Hibbert.

Before anyone suggests that Rondo is only worth DC+1st+TPE....think again....he's arguably one of the top 10 PGs in the league ( if not one of the best defensive PGs )...you're not going to get him without giving up of value in return. I'dhope that a DC+1st+Hansbrough+TPE can get Rondo....but my guess is that either Teams will be pushing for Hibbert or PG ( instead of Hansbrough ).
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Rondo could make PG a superstar. That is, assuming PG isn't involved in the deal.

OK, DC-Hibbert for Rondo is a steal, and now you want Jeff Green too? It's my bed time, this place is getting nuts already.

BTW, Green is a free agent.

Here are Pacers that New Orleans would potentially be interested in (young, cheap pieces).

    2012-2015 draft picks
    Stanko
    Collison
    Price
    Stephenson
    Paul George
    Rush
    Hansbrough
    Hibbert

We'll have to give up a pick (or two) and 1-3 of these young guys to realistically get Rondo. Collison would definitely be one of them because they'd need a point guard.

I just can't figure out why the Hornets'd have no interest in Rondo. I get that Boston doesn't have many other assets, but Rondo's only 25 and on a pretty decent contract.

It argument is understandable and i see ur concert. But rondo really can heighten the scoring abilities of the other players on the floor and also is what many on this board is screaming about on this board, a DEFENSIVE PG! Also with the youth movement we have and the upbeat pace are young guys are going to probably run rondo and the team would excel in that. So really that's a good trade to me. Also keeps us in further under the cap to get a big fa next year, and with rondo on the team we could snag one.

You know why I wouldn't do a Danny for Rondo/Glen Davis trade while Boston gets CP3 and New Orleans gets Danny?

Because if Danny is the key piece to getting Chris Paul, we should get Chris Paul. I'm not going to give Danny to Boston so we can get their PG they're replacing for Chris Paul. It doesn't make any sense. Glen Davis doesn't bridge the gap.

If we could somehow land Rondo in a Hibbert + Collison + 1st package while ALSO signing one of the free agent 5s, we'd obviously have to do it.

I really think paul george is close to untouchable the pacers aren't the kind of team to gamble on someone with his talent and then trade him away look at rush and bender for examples
