Thread: Recruit Jamal Crawford on Twitter

Default Recruit Jamal Crawford on Twitter

Send @JCrossover aka Jamal Crawford a tweet, or two, encouraging him to sign with the Pacers. I've already sent him a couple tweets and so have a handful of my friends. I think it will help, show him the love everyone!

Eh, I'm hesitant to do this. I know, for example, that when Gary Harris was picking a college he hated people tweeting him to go this place or that place.

I don't think this will hurt anything. It doesn't even sound like we're targeting him as a free agent, so what damage will this do? In his position, would you rather know that fans want your talent in their city, or would you rather go to someplace where fans will only support you after you've been signed to the team?

It may not make sense, but regardless, I'm going to tweet him and tell him to give us a chance. He won't respond, he won't end up on the team, but a little effort never hurt.

Our arena, their arena, Rucker park, it just doesn't matter. We're bigger, longer, younger, faster, and hungrier.

I had a dozen guys I talked to and hung out with go to major Div 1 colleges, and never once did I try to push them to go to IU even though they had the offer. I always felt it wasn't my place to put unnecessary pressure on them, even as their friend.

I certainly won't do it with someone I don't know. I just think it's rude.

Different situation, I doubt it would bother crawford much. I personally hate when people bother a high school student that is trying to decide which college he wants to go to, most of them are only 17 come on now people.
    Why so SERIOUS

LaMarcus Aldridge tweeted him telling him to come to Portland, Crawford then responded, "Do you guys want me bro?"

He obviously wants to feel wanted, and with a bunch of Pacers fans tweeting him he'll know he's definitely welcome here. I don't think it will put a big weight on his options, but it's worth a shot. If he signs elsewhere, I doubt it has anything to do with people on twitter letting him know he's wanted in Indy.

    Also, a lightbulb went on...

Larry loves combo guards like Donnie loved slow footed centers.

Larry: What if we played George Hill, Lance Stephenson, AND Jamaal Crawford, all at once.

Donnie: Well only if you play Roy and Marc Gasol with them, will it work.

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

I really don't want him to be a Pacer and my first thought was... I better send him a tweet saying how Paul George is going to be starting instead of him within a year.

Just doing my part for the good of the franchise

    Reminds me of Team America.

Acting so good that he can prevent terrorism AND convince Eric Gordon to force his way to Indiana.

According to Mike Wells, there's is mutual interest.

    http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap...utual_Interest

I'm a little worried that any team that gets Crawford will be overpaying for him considering the status of JR Smith (who recently injured his knee). Smith and Crawford are the same type of players - instant offense
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

I would love Crawford and his cold blooded shooting, even if he has times of just being flat out cold. I just imagine those games where Danny's on, Crawford is on, the defense is rockin...let the onslaught begin!

Thumbs up Re: Recruit Jamal Crawford on Twitter

I definitely like J-Craw , and have since I first payed attention to him at G.S...

I think he is one of those few guys who gets more refined with age, and will probably be just as good if not better, hitting his peak when he is 34 or 35 yrs old..

Heck, in 2010 season if I'm not mistaken he won 6th man award..

But before we even could begin to entertain that notion , Rush and D.Jones need to go to another team.... We'd need to clear some space and minutes ..

And while we are at it , Posey needs to go as well...

Here is a real good youtube highlight mix I was checking out earlier of Jamal Crawford..

I wouldn't mind Crawford, but I think he will want too much money. I don't want to pay him 10 mil for 4 or 5 years. Also, with G.Hill will there be that much playing time left at SG. I know he is a great scorer, but do we want to give that much money to a guy who won't get much time, or if he does that time will take away form devolping our younger core guys.
