Painter staying as starter "pig headed" decision per Kravitz. You go, Bob.

Bob's right. There is absolutely ZERO reason to continue to start Painter unless we are, in fact, tanking.

I agree with the article Bill Polian annoys the hell out of me really cant stand the guy. And I cant believe Caldwell could say what he said with a straight face his nose should of grown a foot after that presser. glad they are having a down year so I can get cheap tixs when the Panthers play with one of my favorite college QBs. I'll be getting cheap tickets probably wearing a Butkus or Urlacher jersey Sunday I might even pull sweetness's jersey out for the event. I expect a lot of Newton jersey's and about half filled. It just sucks the Bears couldn't come to town this year.

I think Polian's magic is a thing of the past and he's now a liability. Yes, I think it's time.

I don't see how starting Orlovsky is such an important decision. We'd lose either way, and the offensive production would be about the same.

Both Chris Polian and Caldwell didn't do anything to earn their jobs. Surprising that Bill Polian's wife isn't on the payroll.

Agree with removing the Polians and Caldwell, but if not Painter, who? Orlovsky? Stop it. Just stop it.

Why not? How much worse than Painter could he be?

Painter give us a better chance to get Luck so yeah I'm ok with him for now, this is what I wanted the Pacers to do long time ago instead of signing free agents to screw the draft position.

I've wanted Polian gone even before the rest the starters fiasco. I just don't see it though. I think Irsay will hold on til the bitter end with Polian.

You watch Painter and feel sorry for him for just being out there. When I watch the colts I don't want to feel sorry for our QB.

Its not really about Painter or Orlovsky you're right no difference BUT they had first dibs on Kyle Orton and unlike the other two he's actually won games as a starter yet they don't claim him.

Now will Kyle Orton give us wins? Eh not sure about that with how awful the rest of the team is.

But it would show they at least made the concerted effort to want to improve the team and try to win.

The reason why many suspect tanking beyond the obvious connections between the Polians/Stanford/Luck/Manning families is that nobody can believe how a perennial playoff team can go from one of the top teams in the league to a potential 0-16 in one season.

Sure Manning makes a ton of difference but he shouldn't. Either Polian and Co are horribly incompetent(yes they are) or they are incompetent and not wanting to win.

The front office seems way too happy to be losing right now.

Sure its one thing for the fans to want that #1 draft pick but organizations are supposed to want to win at all costs regardless.

This is the same team that threw away a perfect season two years ago I wouldn't put it past them to try to go for another perfect season in reverse to get what they want.

You can never prove it though unless someone confesses to actually tanking.

I don't really have a problem with what the Colts are doing now.... It's what has gotten us to this point that I have a problem with.

Once this team proved it had no chance of even treading water this season then they might as well lose their way to the #1 pick in the draft.

I suspect once the #1 pick is clinched we'll see a QB change (and no, I don't mean Manning). But until then why would the FO want to mess up this perfect storm that has fell into their laps?

But that said.... it should never have gotten to this. With Manning heading into his likely last contract and last 1/4 of his career... and the SB in Indy.... the team should've been loading up to have one of their best runs ever at the SB during these last few years. And it should've started way before Manning's neck was a factor.

Total incompetence is how it got this bad. And it's not as if anyone's been blindsided by how bad the Colts are defensively, the questionable coaching, or how bad they are without Manning and the weakness of the QB situation behind Manning. Apparently, only the fans and pundits could see this because you'd never know it from the FO.

I would absolutely love seeing Polian fired AND having an 0-16 record hung on his resume, especially after throwing away a realistic chance at a perfect season with those columns reversed. For someone as arrogant and condescending to fans as he is, it would be a perfect ending to his career as far as I'm concerned. You're not going to tell me that there weren't plenty of GM's that couldn't have matched his time here, if not exceeded it, with Manning at QB.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

That's a terrible artical. There are so many points I could make here, I could write a book. All Kravitz is doing is trying to write a contraversial artical for people to read.

Dalton was on the Colts radar and they let him slip by. Think the Colts would have one at least one game by now with Dalton.

I would say Painter has proven he is not an NFL quality QB in any capacity. Orlovsky may be the backup QB next season, but it would be nice to see what we have in a game. He did complete like ten in a row once he mercifully relieved CP in the last game.

Again, I have appropriately low expectations for Orlovsky, but to continue to play CP, who is challenged to string two completions together, is a travesty.

I won't argue that he is a great leader. I think that's true. I don't think he is good though. His stats may be better than Curtis Painter's, but that isn't saying much.
