God, what does this team do all week? What does our coaching do? Does Jim Caldwell bring a single thing to the table?

Such an embarrassment at all levels.

    That's a rhetorical question right?

I really want to know what Saturday said to these guys when they had that players only meeting.

I think the "playoffs" saying can be altered to, "Uh, getting a win? We're just trying to register a touchdown pass!"

today was a game that the Colts could have won. The Colts beat the Colts today. Andrew Luck see you in April...in an Indianapolis Colts Jersey.

So much pride has been drained from this franchise and it's sad.

They can give 2 ***** and are a bunch of losers! Such horrid defense.....and that's just part of it.

Yeah the team is getting Andrew Luck, but they need a whole lot of rebuilding if they want to be good again.

Peyton's future is up in the air and it looks like a great Colts era has come to end.

Curtis Painter(notes) was basically funny-bad against Jacksonville on Sunday, throwing two interceptions among his 19 passes, and nearly tossing more. Avoid these game highlights if you can. Dan Orlovsky(notes) eventually replaced Painter, an embarrassing moment for any pro. The Colts had no answer for Maurice Jones-Drew(notes) (137 total yards, TD), and they couldn't dent the Jaguars' defense (3 points). It's gonna take something more than Andrew Luck to fix that mess.

Amen. Is there any way even w/Peyton we're .500...let alone the playoffs? I don't think so. The O-line issues, the complete lack of defense. What a travesty.

    Wow, just wow.

What's the longest a team has ever gone without a passing touchdown? We have to be getting close to the record, if we haven't already eclipsed it......

    Last 4 games for Painter:
    0 TDs
    6 Int
    No passer rating above 51.

I still remember he had a couple of decent games and people were jumping on the wagon. Now the wagon is on fire and people can't jump off fast enough. Funny how that works.

I've never been a Painter fan, but I didn't exactly want him to fail like this. How is this guy even in the league is beyond me.

Having said that, it's on the coaches to work with what you have. Tebow isn't very good, but at least they've adjusted their offensive calling to fit his skills. Colts coaches are just sticking with what has worked in the past. I haven't seen very many games being out in Atlanta, but that's what I've noticed.

Well, you are not dealing with a band wagoner here. I've maintained since preseason that Orlovsky should have made the team over painter. I find it an insult to Orlvosky that he hasn't had a chance to start, let alone be cut then re-signed. He'd have been better than CP & KC. Not that that's saying much, but the guy way outperformed CP in the preseason.

I remember one poster saying he makes Manning expendable after he had one decent game

^Could it be Orlovsky's second time playing on a 0-16 team?

Man, you'd have to retire after that I'd think.

I truly believe we would be 7-3 if Peyton was healthy and playing this season, 6-4 at the worse.

Remember we were one of the favorites to play in the Super Bowl at Lucas before Manning's surgeries. We had some problems in areas for sure, but we've had most them for several years. Peyton covers up a lot, yes even some defensive issues.

No way did you watch the Colts team last year? That team sucked most the year and this team is much worse IMO.

6-4 (MAYBE), but not in the playoff hunt and definitely not in SB conversation. Last year we were fortunate to make the post-season and we laid an egg at home against NYJ, in no small part thanks to Caldwell. Yet our D could not stop or even slow down anything in the second half. Agreed - Manning covers up a lot, but trying to cover that D - and even this year's more pitiful version - I don't think even he can do that.

Orlovsky should start against the Panthers.

How many other teams have had three different quarterbacks start for them in a single season? How many of those due to injury?

The Colts weren't exactly a very good team last year even with Peyton.

They just got into the playoffs finishing with 10 wins and now the major dents in the team have clearly shown.

The defense is horrible, but with Peyton running the offense, that wasn't looked at as a major concern.

i haven't been following tebow nor do i care about him one bit.
    as far as painter goes:
i had not seen enough of the guy before he got his chance to get a vibe on him. i thought perhaps some were just being unfair and giving him too much flak and such. however, i can say i have seen enough to say that he has no business being on this or likely any NFL team. he really is terrible and he better not be on the squad next year.

It was by some us... Unfortunately our opinion doesn't count to a genius like Bill Polian.
