Lots of dink and dunks and sideline passes here.

Or a Garcon fumble to lose it...either/or

Watching the Colts is a lot less stressful this year if they win? Great

If they lose? Better draft pick and hopefully someone getting fired that should be.

Folks, you could very well be seeing the Colts on their way to an 0-16 season. I thought last weeks KC game and this one were their two best chances to get a win and maybe get something rolling. Holy cow.

And now you got no chance at all to bring down Benson, because the defense has basically been on the field for all but about 30 seconds of the last 15 minutes of real time.

I thought the Luck sweepstakes talkers were early until last weeks game was over. Still on that path, and was I wrong.

In that process, boy was I wrong about the Painter/Kerry Collins issue too. Painter is playing better, but it certainly isn't helping on the scoreboard much. Kerry Collins 5 minute wind up to throw probably helped the defense get some extra time on the sidelines though.

    0-6 ...... Wow.

It speaks very poorly of your coach when the ONLY good decision he made in the entire game was to bench Jacob Lacey. If I were Irsay, I'd begin to think seriously about cleaning house. Caldwell, the Polians, everyone. Maybe Zupancic knows something and knew when to leave on his own terms. Hopefully.

I think anyone who was unceremoniously dumped by the Colts is sadly getting a laugh at our expense.

I can't fault them for it either.

However good luck getting Irsay to get out of his drug induced stupor to actually notice this.

Maybe he has to lose season ticket holders etc before getting a clue.

Don't worry maybe he'll have to face it when we play the Saints on SNF...

I've come to the conclusion that I'm just going to start drinking at noon on Sunday's to make the Colt's games a little easier to digest. It's worth a shot anyway.

Has anyone here seen the NFL films clips of Sean Payton during the Super Bowl against the Colts basically having a casual conversation with his coaches about how Caldwell was in over his head and not worthy of coaching in a title game? I keep hearing they exist and have never found them. Anyone know? Payton doesn't seem the type to say something like that but it wouldn't surprise me a whole lot I guess.

I never heard that but I can believe Sean Payton would say such a thing.

This game doesn't mean much after the Wheldon Indycar wreck...
But I have to repeat that for this team to suck THIS bad this season doesn't speak well of a lot of people. This is a team obviously in what should be their SB contention window with Manning thought to be still in his prime (as far as prior to the surgery). And on top of that, the SB is in Indy at Lucas. A perfect cynergy... you'd think...

And instead this team has been exposed as more flawed than we'd ever believe. No way a contending team should be a threat to 0-16 even if they did lose their starting QB...
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Yep but don't you worry I'm sure someone will say you hate the team for stating the obvious. Because you know the Colts can't do no wrong and we're spoiled for suggesting changes that were long overdue and years in the making needed to have been done ages ago.

Good god what an overreaction. We are an injury riddled team without the one player our entire offensive and defensive schemes revolve around. Of course we are going to suck. I'm on board with getting rid of that moron Caldwell, but not cleaning the Polians out. That's silly.

Anyone who thinks this 'small and fast defense' 'built to play with the lead' is a recipe for championships needs to be shown the door and replaced yesterday. If that includes the Polian's then so be it.

The system is flawed... actually it's rotten... And it's a cancer to the team. Of course there's no depth. When you build around a system that is flawed with your starters it isn't going to get any better with the 2nd stringers...

If a team theoretically lost three out of their four captains for the season, along with the majority of their offensive lineman and defensive line that would send them to the cellar. Unfortunately it's a fact for the Colts.

Eh, winning just one championship is like winning zero championships.

Which would look great for a Cincy Bengals... but when your team has arguably one of the best QB's to ever play in the NFL, and has a history of playoff flameouts and a defense that can't stop the run then it doesn't have the shine to it that it would in other situations.

If Harbaugh had completed that pass against the Steelers in the AFCC game and then went on to win the SB that lone SB win for that era would be a shining moment and a great peak moment. One SB win and one SB loss with some questionable coaching doesn't look so impressive for the Manning era.

In fact, Harbaugh's team making the AFCC game and taking the Steelers to the limit and final second is probably more impressive.

This is a team with a sold out stadium. Plenty of TV exposure. And a QB that should guarantee you'd have players wanting to play here and ride his coattails. And IMHO the Colts hierarchy has NOT given Manning the best tools around him to give him the best shot at multiple championships.

They are wasting an opportunity, and have wasted, the career of one of the NFL's best.

What they have done is maybe give him the tools to have inflated stats. But part of that is they've put him in a situation where those type of stats are necessary because without them apparently we're an 0-16 team.

Yes, I know your feelings on the subject Bball. We disagree. I'll leave it at that.

And people: We aren't going to go 0-16. We will still be horrible, but not historically bad.

Painter almost botched the TD pass to Clark and should have had two more INTs than he did.

    Garcon on the fumble? Absurd.

Caldwell's challenge and call for the 52 yarder into the wind? Stupid.

Freeny and Mathis M.I.A. Colts corners = toast. Moala = 2nd rounder blown five yards of the LOS every play. Nary a DT that would start on another team.

This team would not be a legit SB contender even with Manning. They would, however, have 3 or 4 wins. Polian & Co. have let the D languish too much. Need to get some semblance of a cover corner, decent DTs, and somebody who can make a difference. Only thing I like is Angerer.
