    Default Eric Gordon

Granger for Eric Gordon (plus a contract extension)

    Thats it.

Gives the Clippers a veteran presence that is a proven player, and gives us our scorer of the future while moving PG to the 3.

Why would the Clippers do that? EG is probably already better now than Danny ever was, plus he's younger with time left on his rookie deal before he hits RESTRICTED free agency.

I could see them doing something like EG for Danny and their choice of a second player (or a draft pick), but nothing less than that.

Gordon is on the verge of becoming a very special player. Danny is and will for a few years still be a very good player, but I don't see how they'd give up on Gordon for only Granger.

You forget the factor of them being the clippers.

I've never really seen them as a team that trades really poorly (though I am prone to extended periods of memory loss), rather one that is cheap and doesn't pay its players. Trading a rookie contract for $12M per for Danny seems like that would be against that trend.

They were so desperate to get rid of Baron Davis they traded the number 1 pick to get rid of him....

Or trading cash and a second round pick for a guy they cut a month later....

I was thinking more along the lines of, Eric has stated that he isn't terrible attatched to the Clips, so they might as well trade him for a very good talent in Granger, instead of just letting him walk in a couple years.

I can understand that trade... Baron Davis is basically a waste of a roster spot right now considering his attitude on and off the court (and his tremendously expensive contract). They weren't guaranteed the #1 pick at the time of the trade so I can see trading that away to shed that brutal deal they gave Davis.

So they basically pulled a James White trade?

No reason the Clips do this.

Why must we continue with this foolish fantasy?
