And more than likely, soon to be new to your area.

So, I've been in California the last few years and was wondering how to prepare for living in Indy.

Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Make sure you just rent an apartment, and make sure you have adequate health AND life insurance. Also, make sure you have an orthopedic mattress and ergonomically correct furniture to sit on while you are recovering from doing physical therapy, especially if you intend to try to stay in the pocket during the course of a game.

Hey Andrew, can you just do something very minor to cause you to slip just a little in the draft, you know, just in case? Speeding ticket, perhaps? Maybe after the season is over, a public intoxication ticket or something?

Or maybe just run a 5.3 40-yard dash?

    Sincerely,
    Bill Polian

    Excellent Groundhog Day reference.

And no need to worry about me slipping in the draft. I've looked at your schedule and you're set up pretty well for the #1 pick. I figure Collins will be beat up after 2 or 3 more games (the Steelers D against that O-Line - are you kidding me ? You don't need a Stanford education to figure that one out.), then you go to Painter and lock up #1.

    'morning folks.

Did any of you see my game Saturday ?? Not one to brag, but 20-31 for 325, 2 TDs and 3 runs for 36 more yards. Not a bad days work if I do say so myself.

You sure could have used some of that Sunday.

I know I have a lot of questions, but it really looks like I'll be wearing the horseshoe next year. I'd like to know - has that head coach (Caldwell ?) ever shown any emotion ?? Anything ??

Andrew, I'm not sure- but I think when Caldwell was running Wake Forest into the ground, he was acting all crazy so they gave him a lobotomy, which unfortunately rendered him emotionless and didn't do much to help his coaching skills either.

    Andrew,

please convince Jimmy Boy to come coach you and his old NFL team.

    That would be swell

You might want to start looking at houses in Kansas City and Seattle. Because the Colts are going to find some way to not get you.

Instead, we'll probably draft another injury-riddled WR, an O-lineman that won't be on the team in 3 years, or heck, how about another TE?

    Andrew,

Rumors are starting to fly about the possibility of the Colts resting the starters for a future playoff run, and fantasy owners are getting restless.

Could you take living in an area with a climate where temperatures can vary from -20 F in the winter to 100 F in the summer, leaving the possibility that you might have to play home football games in temperatures ranging from 65 F up to as high as 75 F while having to figure out if you are going to fight the glare of the sun or the overhead lights on a given game? Such adaptability will be crucial to your successful transition, and I just wanted to make you aware coming into it.

Perfect offseason for me: Secure Luck and the #1 pick, fire that moron Caldwell, hire Jeff Fisher, get encouraging news about Peyton Manning.

Yeah - that resting stuff won't fly with me. If 'Forehead' had any stones, he would have taken the field regardless of what Polian or Caldwell said. What are they going to do ? Come drag him off the field ???

There's gonna be a new sheriff in town and I'll ............... oh wait, you folks have bad memories about another #1 saying that - don't you ?? Sorry.

Hang in there. It'll be a long season this year, but once you draft me, trade Manning and use those picks to fill in a few spots - we'll have that town rocking again !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Nailed that one.

D looked pretty good. If you guys just had a QB, it's a different season.

Resting the starters to enhance the likelihood of future success has been a longstanding tradition for the Colts, so going to Painter should surprise absolutely no one. Unfortunately, it has rarely ended in success.

So, Andrew, how would you feel about going to powerhouses like KC or St. Louis, or making like King James and taking your talents to South Beach where they truly know how to both snorkel and scuba in an effort to improve?

Hey Andy I see you can also catch passes too...

The Colts might need that at some point too.

I watched Luck play last night he audibles about as much as Peyton it was crazy. Standford plays a really cool offense they use 2 TE's and a lot of play action and running. If I were to compare him to a legend it wouldn't be Peyton though he moves like Elway. Obviously he isn't close to either Peyton or Elway yet and probably never will be but he is certainly as mobile as Elway and is huge 6'5 240 and he looks like he will be able to start right away next year. Whoever gets him should have a solid qb for the next 10+ years.
