Peyton should win MVP this season, even if he doesn't take a single snap.

Bout time to turn this thing off. Guess the respect we think we deserve will not be earned today. Obviously, we simply don't deserve it.

Yeah, besides the Caldwell has any business being a HC sham, my biggest aggravation from a personnel standpoint is the ongoing unwillingness to do what's necessary to address the glaring DT issue.

Again this offseason, pure cosmetic moves. That's showing right now. Same old same old. Everybody knows you'll never be able to contain the run without legit DTs. How many years running have we had nobody?
And people wonder why I have issues with Colts management and find the Manning era incredibly underachieving...

    It gets revealed eventually.

And to answer you question it was Booger McFarland in 2006 and that was a midseason trade no less. The year we won the SB.

At this rate it isn't going to happen this season but see what Polian can do if we're actually pressed.

Maybe he'll get the hint now

    Doubt it.

How could you consider this team underachieving? To me, it's clear that they probably overachieved with Manning. The rest of the team sucks whale dick.

It should be embarrassing to Polian how poorly built this team is. There are three good players right now, Wayne, Clark, and Addai. Everyone else sucks, even Freeney and Mathis are getting abused.
Freeney has been doubled and in the backfield constantly. Kind of hard to do anything from the DE position when the DTs, LBs, and CBs are non existent.

Did the era of Tom Brady end when he missed an entire season? Stuff like this is an overreaction.

Well, now it should be clear as day to everyone that Peyton has virtually been single-handedly carrying this team for the past few years.

Also should be clear as day that Peyton indisputably the most important player in football. Shouldn't even be debatable.

Can we somehow get Jeff Fisher in here by next week to replace a deposed Caldwell?

No Dan Dierdorf...the Texans line isn't THAT good. The Colts D is THAT bad. And has been for about five years now.

I have zero respect for anyone on the Colts D right now, all this thumping their chest about pride the past two weeks, and now they're just getting bent over like a hooker in the red light district. There's no pride on this defense, they quit last year against Houston, and they're doing it again right now. No respect for any of them, they have no pride. I honestly feel bad Peyton has to play with anyone on this defense, I've realized saying that our defense was "built to play with the lead" was really just a nice way of saying that they are a bunch of damn front runners, who don't have a backbone and can't defend themselves from a 5 year olds foam bat.

Yep their performance(if you want to call it that) is completely inexcusable.

Normally I'd say this is crushing to watch and it is but I can't say the Colts deserve it right now.

No heart whatsoever(except Addai and Clark)

And does anyone think Caldwell can inspire a team to come back and beat the Browns next week? I don't.

It speaks volumes to how good Peyton is that he took a team not a whole lot better than this one to two Super Bowls and won one of them. Reminds me of LeBron dragging that truly awful Cavs team to the NBA Finals a few years back. If you don't come away from watching this with a new appreciation of Peyton's status as an all time great, you need your head examined. All this time I thought Basketball Fan was being unfair with her criticism about the construction of this team. That's how good Peyton is. He covered this hot mess up for years to the point that only a few people even questioned it. Good Lord this is awful.

Caldwell and inspire are contrary by nature - quintessential paradox / oxymoron.

Unless used in the context of Caldwell inspires me to acid reflux.

Our 06 team was pretty damn talented. Harrison and Wayne were both pro bowl receivers. Clark was great. We still had Tarik Glenn and that was when our O-Line was still really good. Because of that, the Addai/Rhodes combo was very effective that season. Plus we had Freeny and Mathis in their prime and a healthy Sanders come playoff time. That team had a lot more talent than the teams we've put out there the last few years.

Peyton Manning was everything Colts fans have said he is and more, that is what this game is proving. One of the true greats. Period. The true leader, the true best player, the true inspiration.

Well there's one way of looking at it but imagine if he can take this team and make it a playoff contender imagine what he could've done with a far more balanced team.

A potential dynasty that will never be realized at this point in his career.

    Just sad to me.
