    Default I just hope...

The Pats don't win the Super Bowl here in Indy. Talk about adding insult to injury (literally).

Yeah, I agree. Add the Steelers and Jets to that list as well. Basically, I'm about 90% sure I'll be rooting for the NFC in the Super Bowl this year.

Yup. Made that decision last night.

I would really hate to see Chicago in the SB here. It would be absolutely unbearable. (no pun intended) Add in the fact that I like Aaron Rodgers, so they've become my default team.

I cringe at it, because I hate bandwagon fans, but I think I've convinced myself it's for the greater good.

Completely agree since86. I live downtown and I'm really pumped for Indy holding what is arguably the most significant or biggest event of the year for the US. The only thing that could ruin it would be a Bears SB. This city would become Chicago. The Pacers playoffs were bad enough, but it would not even compare to the amount of annoying sports fanatic Chicagoans and their superior attitude towards Indy. It would be as you said unbearable enough that I would consider going out of town for the weekend instead of enjoying this great city's moment in the spotlight.

I didn't even think about the Bears. Yeah, that would be awful. Bears fans are so obnoxious.

I am actually on board with either team from last night's game. I really like both of those teams and their QBs. The sting of the SB loss to the Saints has worn off, so I can get behind them.

Ala Game 4, so are Bulls fans!

Chicago fans packing both CFH and LOS would be insane.

It's almost as if Indy fans don't care about being embarrassed like that.

At least now, hopefully these people won't let that happen to the Pacers.
In 49 states it's just basketball, but this is Indiana!

Absolute worst case scenario: Patriots vs. Bears in Super Bowl. At that point, it wouldn't matter who wins. Our fan base loses.

My ideal scenario= If we don't make it .....I hope the Pats do make it to the SB and get beat by the Packers, or I hope the Bears make it and get beat by the Steelers.

Oh god, obnoxious Bears fans invading Indy during the SB? That would be horrible. Just horrible.

I'd hate to see the Steelers and their stupid towels here too.

Really, the Jets wouldn't bother me too much. Hey, they haven't won anything since Namath and have almost always been the ugly stepsister to the Giants. If they win and want to act obnoxious then I say they've earned the right. Of the AFC contenders, I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather see the Jets win than the Pats or Steelers.

Seeing Brady hold up his 4th championship trophy in Lucas would pretty much be the worst thing ever.

No we aren't we just aren't fair weathered and we always cheer and BEAR DOWN!! We love our Bears!!
I went to Bears v Jets the day after Christmas last year probably the best sporting event I have ever been too amazing.(except for the opening of LOS that was pretty fun Matt Forte ran wild that night)

    Soldier field is amazing!

If we go to the superbowl I will be getting tickets for sure.

You guys also forgot the Chargers....

    That would also suck.

Really this is my list of teams that I don't want to win the SB here

    Pats
    Packers
    Bears
    Eagles
    Chargers
    Jets
    Ravens(the irony)

So yes I'm anyone in the NFC not named Packers/Bears/Eagles.

The Ravens winning a Super Bowl in Indy would be kind of funny.

It would and while the Irsays may not like it too much I'll hate the Ravens fans talking about their "revenge" for that infamous winter night the team left Baltimore...

Despite the fact that the original Cleveland Browns would be winning the SB.

    How is it fairweathered?

This season already bites with Manning gone for most if not the entire season so for the Colts its pretty much lost(just isn't official yet)

Doesn't mean we're not rooting for the Colts but really we're looking for something to make us happy here and if teams we hate don't win on our field the greatest prize of all well that's something to be happy about.

    Please.

One week ago, we were crossing our fingers that Manning could be healthy week 1. Now, we're just hoping he can play again someday.

This week has been like one prolonged kick in the ****. Our record this season is going to be average at best, awful at worst. This has been one of the worst few days in Indy Colts history. If we want to talk about a lighthearted topic like fanbases we don't want to see invading in February then so be it.

LOL are you serious??? I still where my Cubs gear and we are like 30 games back. I went to a game a few weeks back. Cubs fans are the opposite of fair weather to a fault thats where they get the nickname lovable losers. Fans still go to games even though we suck.

Maybe you don't live near true Cubs fans.

**** every time I go to see my Cubs in Cincinnati there are way more Cubs fans than Reds fans. The Reds were in 1st place last year and there were more Cubs fans at great american ball park thats just sad. Like I said the Cubs fans are opposite of fair weather.

Lions rams browns Seahawks cardinals 49ers are my backup teams. I'm still not counting the colts out.

I was thinking about this today. Seeing the Pats, Steelers, or Bears appear let alone win a Superbowl in Indy would just be awful. The thought never crossed my mind until Peyton's injury.

You are aware that you are from Indy, right?

Using "we" in regards to Chicago teams doesn't really work for you. Also, if Indy (or any other small market city) had the population that Chicago has, this fair weather conversation would be moot.

I don't think that term means what you think it means.
