Default Is Pacers4Ever on to something here?

Maybe its time to give him some props. He catches flak here sometime but if this should this happen all is well with the world

Hi Eri, whats the deal with Eric Gordon
criticism of the clippers lately. Will he resigned with the clipps?

    Eric Pincus

From what I understand Gordon mentioned that he didn’t aspire to be a Clipper when he was growing up. I haven’t actually heard/read the quotes but that’s what’s been suggested to me. If I’m incorrect then my apologies.

Gordon, from my experience, is not extremely talkative but he’s very open and honest when he does. I don’t think it was meant maliciously but is a reflection of how he felt coming up.

I see him staying with the Clippers beyond his current contract given that he’ll be a restricted free agent. I do know he’s fond of Indiana. I won’t swear he’ll be a career-long Clipper but he should be there for some time.
    Would be tooo sweet!

What was P4ever "on" to, exactly?

All I concluded from that letter are that Eric Gordon is fond of where he grew up and isn't expected to leave the team that owns his rights. Thrown in is the bombshell that Eric Gordon didn't want to be a Clipper growing up. The same things could be said of %95 of all star-caliber NBA players.

Furthermore, what are you excited about? The guy concluded that Gordon is likely not leaving LA.

    What am I missing here?

Sometimes I think hes ON something.....

It's not exactly rocket science that he'd be fond of Indiana.....

Pacer is a good kid. He's high on life. I have a hard time disliking someone who likes basketball as much as he does.

He's the only person I've ever spoken to that's as interested in the game as I am.

I don't mean on PD, I mean ever.

lay off p4e, even if it is half tongue in cheek. i know he didn't have the best first impression, but he knows a lot about the game and he's gotten very good about making his posts readable.

also, as people have mentioned above, the fact that eric gordon is not in love with the clippers shouldn't be some revelation to most of us here.

The above advice should be directed at the person who started this thread.

Threads started by one poster in defense of another pretty much always have the intended opposite effect, unless they are iron-clad. This one had more holes than the Titanic.

It's called the Kstat-O-Meter. And it needs updating. I'm sick of looking like a christmas stocking.

MR needs a higher-res camera if he's going to spy on me from across Conseco.

I really appreciate P4E's insights. I respect the things he says, and most importantly, he always gets several questions answered from Hoopsworld.

I enjoy debating/discussing with someone who loves the game as much as I do.

It can be difficult for anyone to fully state their opinion well when you have to type it rather than elaborate thoroughly in person.

Also, P4E sure got me interested in watching the Clippers more often.

well, from what I've been hearing, Paul George is a future hall of famer, so wouldn't that just overcrowd the backcourt with George Hill?

I'm not keen on acquiring another 2-guard either, so I'm not sure what would upset me about that. No Pacers acquisition has ever upset me.

The closest I can think of was Danny Granger, but it's not like I went into that draft thinking there was a chance in hell he'd fall that far anyway. It was more an "aw shucks" moment that he didn't give us a chance to trade up for him.

I admit I'm amused that after 8 years people still assume I hate the Pacers.

I'll tell you this much, P4E is the biggest trash-talker on Xbox. You tell him that you got a new game, he'll say, "I got that the day it came out. I'll smoke you at that! I barely play it. I spend all my time playing 2K11."

Haha, he's a good kid. (Rubber fist)

I won't keep it when the season kicks off sunday. Preseason and all that.

In 3 years when we get another crack at the Pats, hopefully I can bring it back.

The ironic thing is I was actually giving Pacers4ever props. He claims to know(or spoken to) some of EG's family (father if I am not mistaken) and thought he might be on to something

Shame it was turned around by some of the same people who seem to populate boards like this for the sole purpose of inflamatory remarks

...and yet you still haven't explained any part of your initial post, despite the fact not one person has found anything specifically revealing about it.

The single most inflammatory part of this thread is the thread itself. You dedicated an entire thread to Pacer and as your basis to support it, used a generic opinion from someone without any credible info.

You basically wrote Pacer's name on a bulls-eye, glued it to a pinata, and said here it is. I dare you to hit it. And you actually want people to believe the responses you got surprised you?
