You guys are right. Sorry for derailing this thread with my troll banter.
Let's start this new era off with some good news: Stanford Robinson verballed to IU today!!
He is ranked #46 in the 2013 class by ESPN, #52 by Scout, and #88 by Rivals.
Beejay Anya come on down!
Score one for Kenny Johnson. Can he go 2/2?
Not surprised by this. I haven't seen him play and don't know much about him besides what I have read, but at this point it's hard not to trust Crean's eye. I love that we are expanding our recruiting base. That DC area is loaded with talent. Getting inroads there will pay dividends down the road.
I feel like we are getting too many players lol.. It's exciting but can we fit all these guys on one team??
We are BACK!!
Now that IU is pretty much guaranteed a win against ISU I think they'd be interested. I remember a few years ago, as soon as ISU beat them once or twice they cooled their jets on that game real quick.
He won't be able to help himself.... But I will try not to say anything that sets him off. I have my hate for IU off my chest. You guys enjoy worshiping them, I will not go that route......
Looks like we are getting a local walk on from Center Grove High School.. Jonny Marlin from IPFW. One year left.
"I had to take her down like Chris Brown."
Well that IU team was coached by Mike Davis, who couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. Plus that Hoosiers team was mediocre (13-10) until Davis announced his retirement at the end of the season and the team responded to make the NCAA tournament and finish 19-12.
IU is much better coached and has far better players now than in 2005.
You know your program is strong when a player leaves a school where they have an athletic scholarship to walk-on.
In Marlin's case it seems that religion played a big role- IU has a strong Christ-based advocacy organization (which I avoided like the plague while I matriculated there).
Looks like D-Wade was in Bloomington today. Multiple accounts had him in Crean's famous golf cart driving around the IU campus. One person on Peegs said he ran into LeBron James outside of Nick's.
B-Town is the place to visit for celebs and athletes when they are in Indy for a game/visit and have some free time.

I guess I feel somewhat conflicted about the whole Wade-Crean relationship now that the Heat are playing the Pacers. On the one hand it's nice to have NBA stars associated with IUBB but on the other I despise Wade and his boorish infantile antics and don't want him anywhere near Bloomington and IU.
Crean was at Game 5 of the Pacers/Magic series and has spoken positively of the team but I don't doubt that he is pulling for the Heat in this series.

I'm not conflicted at all: **** Dwyane Wade.
And yet another major publication has Indiana pre-season #1. Eat that haters.
Kentucky has rejected a compromise proposal to revive the IU-UK series.
The compromise who have had two years with neutral site games (LOS) followed by two years of on-campus games.
http://blogs.heraldtimesonline.com/i...medium=twitterIndiana had indicated that it would be willing to play at Lucas Oil Stadium in December of 2012 and 2013, “persistent with Coach (John) Calipari’s previous offer to do so.” The series would then be moved to Rupp Arena for the 2014 game and Assembly Hall for the 2015 game. Glass said that was acceptable to Indiana because it would allow the freshman class that arrives next year to see at least one game on campus in their four-year careers.
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!).
I'm (maybe) back after being repetedly banned, merely for supporting a different NFL team than do certain forum moderators.
