Energy is there compared to recent games, shooting is not there. So far, Zeller against PSU.

Not sure that was really a foul (on block by Pritchard).

20 mins. in the books down 2 to PSU.

    1) D looks better, but controlling their penetration still problematic.

    2) Nobody but Zeller can make a shot.

    3) Has everyone figured out our offense making it easy to defend?

    4) Are our guys not as good as we though? (I say this b/c PSU honestly just looks like a better team right now.)

I don't know. Whatever they had before the Big10 season started, seems to be lacking. Still nice to see them come out with more energy and focus after the half.

"But, first, let us now praise famous moments, because something happened Tuesday night in Indianapolis that you can watch a lifetime’s worth of professional basketball and never see again. There was a brief, and very decisive, and altogether unprecedented, outburst of genuine officiating, and it was directed at the best player in the world, and that, my dear young person, simply is not done."

Big positives this half so far

    Oladipo on Frazier
    Watford on the boards
    Finding shooting touch

The effort has been much, much better today. The offense is still not all the way there yet, but it's coming around.

Btw, I've noticed this season that BTN games seem kind of "digitized," like the resolution isn't quite as sharp as it should be. Is this the feed or my TV?

Penn State is going to blow out an opposing player's knee at some point this season with how reckless they are diving for the ball. They have no problem diving straight through someone's leg while it is planted even if it's just a tipped pass or something like that. It's going to eventually really hurt someone and when it does the opposing coach is going to have a **** fit and rightfully so. They are reckless and dangerous, it was this same way against them at Penn State and I'll be glad if we can escape these final 3:30 against them with the way they play. I understand effort, but this is just flat out dangerous some of the dives they make for the ball.

We needed that. Hopefully we've put the ugliness of the last couple weeks behind us.

A win at Wisconsin would be huge for this team. I don't think Wisconsin is very good, but they are still tough to beat at the Kohl Center. I expect a win, and won't be happy with a loss.

Oh, B1G officiating. What's worse—the actual officiating, or BTN going out of their way to try and convince viewers it's awesome?

I only see us winning the following games the rest of the season, all at home:

    Iowa
    Illinois
    Northwestern
    NC Central
    Purdue

That would make us 21-10 (8-10) heading into the Big Ten tournament.

Yeah. I was looking and thought six, so 22 wins. That would mean pulling of at Iowa or at Minn, no small task. Don't think they can take MSU at home, but they've shown capable of big wins there obviously.

I would be really surprised to win at Wisc. They aren't good, but they aren't bad. Plus, they are improving and have momentum from some recent big road wins - Ill & PU. We are capable, but we'll have to play extremely well - better than today against PSU.

16th in the new AP poll, 17th in the coaches poll. I'm shocked we're not lower.

We will be after the next two weeks. It is going to get worse before it gets better.

That being said, this team winning 21 games before the conference tournament would be a HUGE improvement over the past three seasons.

That's what people lose sight of. Even being a bubble team that falls into NIT territory would be a tremendous improvement.

If we win 18 or 19 games, we're a bubble team that likely gets in based on having at least 3 wins over top 25 opponents including the two most impressive wins in the country. If we win 20 games, we are a mortal lock.
