So was most of Bob Knight coached teams. Most college programs play a really slow tempo.
Not disagreeing, but are you even old enough to have watched Bob Knight coached teams?

On the internet maybe...I first started when they were on Channel 4...LOL

"But, first, let us now praise famous moments, because something happened Tuesday night in Indianapolis that you can watch a lifetimeís worth of professional basketball and never see again. There was a brief, and very decisive, and altogether unprecedented, outburst of genuine officiating, and it was directed at the best player in the world, and that, my dear young person, simply is not done."

Loved me some Andre Emmit at texas tech. Watched lots of tech when knight was there still look at emmits stats in china
Plus growing up playing lots of people told me knight would hold the ball all day and play like a hIghschool pace. But shade most collge teams still play at a slow
Pace that is college ball. There are programs like vmi that run and gun mainly because they dont have or recruit good bigs but the majority play a half court game and only run and gun off turnovers only.

There is no more boring team to watch in college basketball than Wisconsin.

Bo is pretty boring on offense but it's an effective motion based offense
This year isn't to bad Jordan Taylor is fun to watch. I bet Bo sold him on Wisconsin by telling him how he helped Devin Harris. Pretty similar players devin was more athletic both they both score /scores the hell of the ball at wisconsin

The only fun thing about watching Wisconsin is when that floppy headed ginger is on the court.

Basketball teams play slow? I prefer to call it a strategically deliberate pace.

Is the IU/Butler game televised anywhere on UVerse today? I can't seem to find it anywhere. It says Big Ten Network on the schedules but I don't see it on there.

Probably not, seeing as how the game is scheduled for tomorrow.

They also led the entire Big Ten in scoring, year after year after year, almost all of the time, and usually by a considerable margin.

I love how ESPN says the IU/PU game is on the BTN when instead it's Illinois/Minnesota.

Went to the IU PU game tonight.. It was pretty good... Pretty bad defense most of the game from IU tho..Neither team was that good but it was a nice fight for the bucket anyways. One thing that still stands out to me is when IU was driving with 4 min left in the game there was a long pass that was caught by the WR and DB at the same time... Yet somehow they say PU INT it... I still am baffled at how they ruled it that.. And then at the subsequent explanation that the play couldn't be reviewed for some odd reason.. Other than that ridiculousness, it was a good game, well officiated.

Hopefully Wilson will stay and be able to build a really solid team.. Right now both IU and PU have weak football teams. PU will get back up there around the top 25 in the near future again.... But IU on the other hand... im really hoping they build a good football program but im really not so sure they will.

Huh? I watched the IU/PU game on the Big Ten Network this evening...

I've got Directv and there was a channel for the BTN showing the IU/PU game in Hidef.

I think it works like FSN with certain regional games popping up on an alternate channel.

But yeah.... BTN was broadcasting the IU/PU game.

I'd be more apt to rail on the guy, but, in all honesty, history teaches that turning around IU football will take a herculean effort. It may prove to be against the law of nature.

That said, announcers said something like freshmen & sophomores played 86% of the total minutes this season. I'm going to take a cautiously optimistic slant on that stat and assume it leads to at least incremental improvement next year.

Beyond that, Roberson needs a lot of seasoning in decision making and we badly need some top-shelf talent on the D-Line and amongst the DBs. It's just a really tall order. I'd say D still looks like it has under every coach since Mallory...like it has no clue what the scheme even is.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

I have UVerse, but I can't figure for the life of me why I didn't get IU/PU. I'm clearly in Indianapolis.

I checked every channel I had and none of them showed the IU/PU game.

I thought Gunner Kiel committed to IU? Why is he visiting with Vanderbilt?

It was on one of the alternate channels in the 670 area or so.

Oh and guess what? IU plays Butler today .....

The same reason Derek Willis keeps visiting Indiana.

Missing a lot of easy shots and a lot of ticky-tack calls so far. Very good defense on both sides.
