    I love Brian Cardinal:

After Friday's game in San Antonio, Spurs reserve Stephen Jackson took offense to Brian Cardinal inadvertently raking San Antonio's Tim Duncan across the face.

"To me, it was a dirty play," Jackson said. "When you can't play no more, I guess all you can do is go out and try to hurt people."

It should come as no surprise that Cardinal did not take offense to Jackson's comment.

"The thing I take from that is that he thinks I once could play," he said. "I'll take that."

One of them also swears that just as Jackson loses the ball on the final play Hummel slips a screen and is wide open cutting to the hoop for an easy lay-up.
"Wide open" is overstating it, but Robbie made a great read and did get pretty open for a split second.

Check this out, it's a GREAT breakdown of that last possession. That I'm still not over. He looks really open, but when you frame by frame it like that you can make a lot of things LOOK like they happened. In actuality the KU guy recovered pretty quickly and Lew had Thomas Robinson's big *** ready to deny the pass, that'd be a REALLY hard pass to make.

Other than a scholarship already being open from Space Cadet Barlow being kicked off, and Hart leaving now leaving 2 scholarships open, sure, it was because Painter needed the scholarship for other players.

Anyway, Rick Ray got the head job at Mississippi State a week and half or so ago. Which is...surprising to say the least. So that's Ray, Paul Lusk, and sorta kinda Counzo Martin that've gotten jobs from Painter's staff. Jack Owens had an offer from Northern Illinois last year. Not a bad coaching tree for a 41 year old.

Oh, and Ryne Smith's going to be a grad assistant next year.

Any time any player leaves our program the Purdue fans say they get "Creaned," so I was just returning the favor. All in good fun, Boiler lads.

There are lots of dumb Boiler fans, and just as many (if not more) dumb Hoosier fans. For the most part, we are respectful here on both sides. I meant no offense.

I give you so much credit for this, you are probably my least hated iu fan now.

+ I love the rivalry, I love hating iu, but I don't like arguing about them at all.

So Jay Simpson apparently broke his foot, gonna be down 4-6 weeks. Hope it doesn't keep him from going on the Italy trip.

If it isn't ACLs, it is arrests. I definitely worry about our football team.

I can't either. If he can stay healthy, I think he will carve out a niche in the NBA. He's too good and too smart not to. Even if he is just a spot shooter, he will find a spot in an NBA rotation. I just hope for his sake that his knees hold up.

I always think if Scalabrine and Cardinal can have a spot on a team, surely Rob can (good health assumed).

Derek Willis dropped from ESPN 100 for bad play this previous season, I think he still has a ton of talent but it will be interesting to see how his play influences his offer from Kentucky.
    Why so SERIOUS

Well that was a terrible ending to the baseball season after winning the B1G and BTT.
