For the love of Rick Mount, can Robbie Hummel hit a big shot.

When people ***** about the refs I usually roll my eyes, but that was downright awful tonight. I've played in church league games better called. They specifically dicked Purdue and Travis Carroll all night, but down the stretch it went abysmal on both ends. I'm sure there're IU and whoever fans reading this thinking I'm talking about the usual handsy D Purdue gets away with at Mackey. I'm not, watch the replay with a blind eye. I'm well aware Purdue gets a lot of swallowed whistles at home.

    That was atrocious.

Check out the facepalm from the guy in the last replay. It's clearer on video than my half assed attempt at a screen grab.

I know we try to separate the Hoosiers from Boilers in this forum, and for good reason. But I really enjoyed watching Purdue play last night. They were fun to watch. Dare I say I was actually rooting for them to win?

While I enjoyed the game, minus the loss, it also makes me feel like we could've been so much better this season.

Losing two players to NBA, lone "star" player coming off multiple injuries affecting his explosiveness...I like to criticize Painter as much as the next man (and guys like Barlow, Carroll really aren't showing as much progress as they should), but that's a pretty damn big challenge.

Nothing wrong with that. Hoosier Pride can mean more than just IU Hoosiers.

I root for IU except when they play Purdue.

WONDERFUL, would have been even better if we had won the game.

That would have really helped our post season chances, I think there is a small chance that we can make the tourney, we really need to be a hot team going into it, meaning winning the majority of the games we have left, and atleast winning 2 if not 3 conference tourney games this year...

    Basically NIT here we come...

Got to watch the Bulls-Celts on ABC...JJ with 33 Mins, 12 and 4. Played very, very smart. Rebounding is tough for him in the post as we expected, but everything else is extremely impressive.

It was, and that's a problem. But DJ Byrd's hitting the shots he used to laugh at me for trying to guard in open gyms, so there's that. I honestly couldn't be happier about him being such a big part, even if it is a mediocre team. He's a great kid with a great family, plus he rocks Zeppelin on the electric.

Its gunna be fun, watching the selection show, hoping Purdue gets a chance to dance. Not used to that. Need 3 more conference wins at least. Nice to see the shots falling the last two games.

Beat State and they're more than probably in, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet. I just hope Illinois doesn't keep up this freefall for too long or those 2 wins aren't going to boost the resume a ton.

Bruce Weber sounded like a dead man walkin at his post game presser. I want to feel bad for him, his teams just never seem to care about what he says, but when it just keeps happening with team after team and player after player at some point it's on him and his staff.

I don't know if that was a must-win last night, but it was pretty damned close. Beating Sparty at home should do it. They don't need to win Sunday, but I believe that would seal it.

Considering the talent level of this team, making the tournament would be a pretty good achievement, in my opinion.

It's a different team when Hummels shot starts falling. Especially when he was getting it on the baseline. Also, Byrd has been outstanding, averaging 16pnts, 4 rebs, 1 assist a game in the last five games.
