Can't blame all of that on Painter, if your team can not score atleast 1 fg in the last 6:40 then you have bigger problems than the coach.

The only thing i will question about Painter is why he did not have Lawson in on the final play down low, and why didn't AJ get more PT near the end of the game.

We should have been atleast 11-1 to this point.

Two big blown leads is a pretty big indictment against a coach in such a short period.

I agree. I don't get it. Painter doesn't look right either. Maybe he has personal issues or health problems. I dunno. He just looks warn out.

They talk about NBA players being worn out from playing on Olympic teams all summer. I wonder if that and the Missouri thing interrupted what rest he usually gets over summer?

Oh gosh. I can see letting him coach out the contract, but EXTENDING him? What on earth has he done to get MORE time? I don't know that it will be a bad move, but let him get through the current contract first and see where we stand.

Well, Burke just turned 60, and he's got six years left on his contract, which means he'll be around even after this extension ends.

    My god, five more years.

You can't really do that in college sports. It kills you from a recruiting standpoint.

I guess, I just can't really justify Hope getting extended.

Not the best win ever, but I will take it any day. Feels good to win a bowl game, even if it is the Little Caesar's Bowl.

Two more years for Danny Hope! The man is a visionary! The next Les Miles! Did you see those two onside kicks?!? The man's a maverick! Extend him again, Burke!

If you can't get fired up about a victory in the Little Caesar's Bowl, you don't have a pulse.

I'm not overly pleased with the extension.

Haha I know. As a Hoosier fan, I am, although we have no chance of being better than the Boilers any time soon.

on top of everything else, Little Caesar's makes about the most lackluster pizza out there...

...btw, was Gooden playing MLB, or just dropping back into coverage from the DE spot during the game?...if MLB, impressive transition...

I think we'll be mediocre as long as he is here.

They looked fairly good vs. Iowa...though clearly a 90 % Hummel and LewJack are their best players by far...Byrd had one of those games that he seems to have 2 or 3 of each year, where he went off and that helped...but 2/3 times a year is not good enough...Lawson got 4 fouls somehow--only remember one of them...Carroll I think managed 0 rbs in 20+ minutes...but good to see John Hart doing well...I could see him outplaying the Johnsons as the year goes on...

I wasn't too impressed. I wish Byrd could play like that much more often. Terone looked good, but I think Hart could get some of AJs min.

Got kicked in the calf at a practice. Not supposed to be any thing serious.

Yeah it seems like I have not sen him in games as much lately. Good that it is not anything serious, also I am glad Carroll did good, hitting open shots and contributing.

After watching the Iowa game, I have absolutely zero idea how that team went into Madison and won.

    That is a shocking upset.
