Advanced further than Duke. Don't get that every year. How's Kansas? They are supposed to be relatively weak this year. Anyone got a scouting report on them?
I hope Thomas Robinson gets food poisoning

They were the top ranked 2 seed, so relatively week is not how I'd describe them. I'm expecting a game much like the last 2 games against Michigan St. And Ohio St. We'll play hard and hang around, but in the end the more talented team will pull away fairly easily.

Ladies beat South Dakota St 83-68 today in their 1st round. Courtney Moses hit 9 3s. While not exactly something to hang your hat on, the Purdue men and women are on a combined 29 game NCAA 1st round win streak. 15 for the women and 14 for the men.

Hummel had the lowest turnover percentage in the country this year, Byrd had the 8th lowest. Pretty impressive considering their usage rates.

Anyone watching the stretch run of Murray v Marquette? Is it me or do both teams look pretty horrible?

Too early to get excited, but obviously this is the kind of start Purdue wanted.

Kansas killing us on the offensive boards.

Back to Friday's game . . . God bless Terone Johnson, he's had a great 2nd half of the season, he's going to be a key player for us the next two seasons, and he carried the Boilermakers on his shoulders for a good part of the game against St. Mary's, but have you ever seen a player so out of it on such a key sequence of the game? With about 30 seconds left, Purdue has the ball and has just lost the lead, trailing by one. Terone has the ball top of the key right, and first palms the ball (which goes uncalled) and then does some weird spinning move and gets called for the travel (while simultaneously losing the ball.) He had played so well up to that point it seemed to me that he felt he had to carry the team to victory and I think the pressure got to him. Fortunately, on the Gaels' ensuing inbound attempt, the Aussie kid really bailed out Terone by traveling. On Purdue's next possession, Lewis Jackson did his thing, got fouled, and nailed the free throws, and Purdue was able to hold on.

Purdue went out and played a tough first half, but they're going to have maintain energy and bring it again in the second half.

If we're going out, Robbie's going out in a blaze of glory

Painter doing everything he can to hopefully save for some energy for the last four minutes. Somebody, be it Robbie or someone else is going to have to step up now and make some shots.

Two straight horrendous offensive possessions for Purdue there. Nothing but dribbling.
