After watching the Iowa game, I have absolutely zero idea how that team went into Madison and won.

    That is a shocking upset.
I think Wisconsin is overrated. People are so used to them being underrated that they overrated them this year and they aren't living up to it. They can't score against good defenses. And for whatever reason, the Kohl Center has lost it's magic. They lost again there tonight to Michigan State. Another masterful coaching performance being doled out by Tom Izzo this season. That team is not that good but right now, they are the class of the Big Ten.

    Probably so.

But that Iowa team looked awful to me.

Yeah, the few times I've seen them I'm inclined to agree with you. I thought they would make a little jump this year. Perhaps not.

It wasn't pretty, but Purdue fans should be getting used to that. The way Iowa has been playing lately, I'm ecstatic to take the regular season sweep against the Hawkeyes.

Ya at this point I am just happy to win. Mackey was fun tonight. Not nearly as loud as the Wisky game though. It was ridiculously loud there in the second half. Very proud to be a part of the Paint Crew.

Wow, from what I am hearing Derek Willis is down to Purdue and Kentucky. I hope that he picks Purdue but many believe UK has the edge...

He would help this team out tremendously in the future. He can play the 3 and the 4, and I think he would start his first year, I know it is 2 yrs away but we should have a very solid team by that time.

So many new players coming in with a very solid game soon, I have no idea who will be starting, but there should be some very interesting battles going on.

I'll take your word we've got good players coming in. All I can tell you is the prospect of Barlow and Byrd leading this team scares the crap out of me.

Yeah, Byrd has never seemed to get right, Barlow I am not as worried about, I think he will be a good emotional leader and step up next year. I expect Terone to step up next year as well.

I do think next years team will be kind of iffy, but we should bounce back the season after, especially with Hammons and Simpson having a year under Painter.

Why do some people on this website say stuff so certain like he has already signed his letter of intent or even verbally committed to the school already... Seems kind of silly, and it happens way too often.

You have a point, but in this particular case, I'd be shocked and flabbergasted if it was any school other than Kentucky.

I think in this case it's warranted. That's one of the worst kept secrets out there. Once he decommitted from Purdue, I never expected him to go anywhere other than UK or UL. Once UK offered, it was over imo.

Purdue and Kentucky are about as polar opposite as you can get in terms of just programs, let alone Willis's future. The kid's going to UK. Whatever, have fun getting slid further down the bench for the next 17 year old top 10 commit. The kid can play ball, but the hype, thanks to his decommitment is just not logical. He's not Gary Harris, he isn't THAT good, not even close.

You don't schedule a Friday afternoon press conference at your Kentucky HS with a game (and a year of school left) the next night to say you're leaving the state when (allegedly) one of the biggest factors of backing out on Purdue was in-state pressure. Would welcome him at Purdue, but if he doesn't want to be a Boilermaker I don't want him to be a Boilermaker.

I assume UK is going to be the choice, but I am still hoping that Purdue is where he finally chooses to go, there have been so many times recently where I thought player X was a clear cut commit to a school but that is not how it went. I will say this case is different though since he was a decommit.

As far as the Gary Harris comment, I would not be so sure to say that, I saw both of these guys play, as far as skill and excitement it was about even between the two, add to the fact that Willis was dominate the whole weekend and Gary Harris got showed up by JP Tokoto, and Willis was a year younger, I think it is a lot closer than you think.

With a strong summer again, I think he will be ranked a top 20 player in the country.
