Default OT - Yankees vs. Red Sox, Game 6

I'm generally not interested in baseball, but there's just something about these two teams that intrigues me.

Anyway, another classy example of New Yorkers tonight. A Yankee player purposefully knocks the ball out of a Sox player's glove while running to first base, which resulted in an error and a run scored for the Yankees to narrow the gap to 4-3, Sox lead. The officiating crew got the call right, determining that the runner was out due to interference. Yankee fans proceed to throw baseballs all over the field and chant "********." :

I'd love to see the Yankees lose.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

The Red Sox are on the verge of becoming the only team in MLB history to force a Game 7 after being down 3-0. Wouldn't it be something if they could complete the backdoor sweep? Now THAT would be a way to reverse the curse!

Btw, I believe that feat has only been accomplished in the NHL, a couple of times. I know it's never been done in the NBA.

Here they go again. The fans disagree with a very close call, more stuff comes flying onto the field. Everytime it happens, they have to pull the players into the bullpen for safety reasons. Morons.

I really am not a fan of baseball at all, but I have genuinely enjoyed the ALCS. I've missed nary a pitch all series. Curt Schilling's performance tonight in Game 6 is nothing short of magnificent.

I dare not count myself a Red Sox fan as that would be insulting to their die-hard fans; however, I am definitely wishing them the very best.

And now... Go Go Yankees fans! Throw stuff on the field again! Keep representing your team well.

It all comes down to the bottom of the ninth now, Boston leading 4-2. Is there anyone out there who believes that the Yankees WON'T come back and win this game?

Red Sox win, 4-2. Game 7 coming up. Wow.

I have the feeling that the Sox are just being set up for another huge disappointment.

All I can say is - unbelievable.

Just when you think this series is over, just when you think that it can't get more tense and nail-biting, damn if the tension doesn't ratchet up another notch.

Almost as fun as watching basketball...

Do you have something against people from New York or what? Personally I don't give a crap but I've seen alot of new york generalizations from you on this board.

Simply the greatest comeback in the history of sports, if the Red Sox take game 7 tonight.

Maybe the greatest comeback in human history since Lazarus.

I'd hate to be a Yankee called into Steinbrenner's office tomorrow if they lose tonight.

My avatar is to remind you that it is all tied up.
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

    Just keep reminding us Pacertom!

And I have to agree, I am not really a baseball fan, but I have been enthralled win this series. Don't know why, but its been fun to watch.

And I have to say, I'm cheering for the Sox.

For some reason, I equate the NY Yankees with the Lakers that we all hate in the NBA. There's a certain degree of cockiness on the yankees part that I just don't like I guess.

Gyron, take a look at the players of the yankees. Now compare them to the bo-sox players. Are you saying Martinez, Ramirez and Ortiz are not cocky and don't act that way? Please.

These are two very confident teams and they both act that way.
