I think I'm dreaming. No way did we just get a player that I would have taken at #4 on in this draft at 15. And a hometown guy too. And the best defender the Spurs had (thats according to them BTW).

    I just...

    wow. Pinch me.

We now have two very good defenders, George Hill and Paul George. George is a two way player, and that is what you have to look for if you want to become a good team. Bird (And myself) doesn't want any more projects; We want guys with experience and hunger.

    Welcome home man.

I'm really happy about getting George. He's what we really need. A good combo guard and can play well both ends.

Would've liked to have kept Kawhi Leonard too, but what can you do? Still happy with the deal.

Linked to the wrong one there.

Either way the only thing Spurs fans can point to is that they wouldn't have been able to afford GH in 2 years. This is an absolute STEAL for us. I'm ecstatic. And with George we can a young, energetic hard working defensive minded Guard who can play both positions and score.

    12/27/2005 at Spurs - SamBear - 3

    1/2/2008 vs Memphis - SamBear - 19

4/9/2014 - Luis Scola also recorded a season high with 24 points and Evan Turner added 23 for Indiana.

What a great move for the franchise on and off the court. George is a steal for the Pacers and will put some fans in the seats to improve that dreadful attendance we have. Glad to be on PD! Is it me or is our bench going to be really solid next season?

Great to see the home town guy come back. Obviously, I hope this will bring more attention, excitement, and ticket sales to the Pacers, but I think it'll be good on the court as well.

George Hill is a proven player, who has been in a top 5 organization for a few years, and comes here with a winning attitude, and hunger to see his home team have that same winning atmosphere. I think you take that every time over the 15th pick in the draft.

except we will have to over pay him after next season great trade for the Spurs they save from overpaying him and get good prospects. I would of took Singleton on a rookie deal instead but i am ok with Hill. If we dont overpay him next season.

Salaries are going down across the board. If the hard cap is real, who could possibly overpay him?
